Nice stuff! The sleep mode for RX is HUGE! Gyros, SAFE, AS3X, should always be TOOLS. I agree, the #1 pro on the planet can still benefit. If you use a gyro ad a crutch, it will fool ypu and get you in trouble. Nlw if we can only get the price down...

13:08 - As a note to Fastboot - If the sensor actually were to come unplugged and somehow reconnect, the RX will not re-initialize the sensor. It detects an error in communication and just stops using it. Also, as a note, if you have a fastboot scenario, note that will not have access to SAFE until the system is powered off and on. You will just have AS3X+. If your sensor is unplugged, of course you will not have any saved calibration at all (no gyro) but you will have flight controls.

Another great video Steve!! This is AMAZING tech!! Will the new AS3X+ be implemented into other lower channel count AS3X receivers? The current AS3X is FANTASTIC but more resolution is always welcomed!! 🙂

11:35 As a note to black box, all modern Spektrum radio firmware will log this data to the radio's internal memory as well.

Is there a video or information available that walks through the new screens on the transmitter? (gyro detailed setup, sleep mode setup and use, etc etc.

great video with great explanation Steve. Do you, or anyone else have any idea about Synapse been sold as stand alone and compatible with 10 and 14 channels Power Safe? As I understand, they are complatibles with previous AS3000 and there is nothing else for them in term of gyros or stabilisation. thank you in advance

@@Alaingizzmo it isn’t sold as stand alone and not compatible with older units. Likely newer RX. Units will be made available in the future with compatibility and lower channel counts.

Can you provide a link to the video that talks more about stop lock and release rate. Also does AS3X+ work properly with a DX9?

I don’t think we have a video yet that goes into detail. But we do have a wiki about as3x+ and that includes what stop lock and release rate does and how to turn it. I’ll place that link into the description.

@@StevesRC- Thanks Steve, the link is helpful. I love AS3X but the one thing I don’t like is the aileron oscillations after a rapid stop. If I understand correctly, lowering stop lock rate will help.

@@MechanicalWhirrings that’s true. To a degree it will make a difference. It helps a lock with crisp stops for sure. I see a lot Less oscillations with this system overall

I'm having an interesting issue with mine. I have 5 brand new Savox servos that when plugged into this receiver are very notchy in movement in any port. Any other servos are fine. If I take the Savox servos and use a servo tester or any other receiver, they are very smooth. What would cause this?

  • @StevesRC

Have you tried playing with frame rate to get them to smooth out? Try increasing and decreasing it to see if it changes.

Are you sure you are changing it for the RX not the radio? Make sure you access it via Forward Prog > Other Settings > Frame Rate. Also, I think you mean, X-Plus not X-bus :) @@glenncozzens2453

I was not doing it with Forward Programming, but just tried it that way and I have the same result. If I then take the same servo and use a Spektrum servo tester - its super smooth. Also, you are correct - I meant to say X-Plus @@StevesRC
