Now this is an upgrade that I would invest in for my 70 Camaro, this is next level stuff
From what is see this is the way to go. These guys covered everything to make the 2 gen jump in the 21 century and keep with todays cars on the road. This will bring new life for the Beutifull old cars. I so want one having two 1970 -71 Formula Firebirds
This chassis should never be painted, what a work of art. Shoot it clear. Jeez, so beautiful!
Nice, hope to use my first few checks from my retirement to finally finish my '80 Camaro I've been hanging on to since 1983. This looks like the perfect base for it. Thank you guys.
Wish this had been available when I built my 72 Camaro... (finished in 2003) Would have done my best to scrape the funding together. However to go back and start over is not feasable... not does it make sense at this stage in life for me. Maybe, whoever buys it, will have the budget and the drive to take it to this next level of performance. Would gladly send pic, but youtube doesn't support such a response. Awesome job GUYS!!!
My ‘71 needs this!!! Gorgeous
Wow you guys really know what you're doing I love the fact that you guys could put this out into the market, I feel it's going to be big as second gens are getting more and more popular by the day. Awesome job brothers
I hope fellow car enthusiast can appreciate what these guys have accomplished
You guys are awesome! I've never seen anything put out by you guys that could be considered Near half assed. You post more I'll keep watching!
This is perfect for the 79 im working on. Great job
Very professional quality and presentation. I like the compact, yet detailed information. Good stuff!
Holy cow. I feel I’ve been looking fir you guys my entire life.
Beautiful work of art. Wish I could install this on my 73 firebird. Gorgeous job!!
My 77 TA so needs this and what a work of art that chassis is. I so wish I could have went this route. Congratulations on your success and your shop is amazing!
Cant wait to get mine! Got one on order. Also, the professionalism/service of this company is spectacular.
I would love to put this chassis under both my 1971 Camaro and 1980 firebird. Great job. Looks amazing.
Big fan of your work and been following your company for a few years now, my goal is to get a least one built by y’all. Keep up the excellent work
Love the story on the TA.. My first car was a TA 455 cameo white with blue interior🤘

Haha - really? That's amazing.
Amazing design and work you put into this. And the CAD video showing how it bolts in a deal closer.
I love what you guys do.it’s very neat.I hope to bring you a car to build very soon.
Taking old school to next level high tech , awesome job
This is Marvellous work!
That's a super dope chassie you guys made awesome work
I can dream about putting that chassis on my 80 trans am, it sure looks nice. Great video.
Nice work
amazing work
Great work
So much want. That's a beautiful chassis
Very impressive that they have a full Solidworks CAD file of the entire car. Its a lot more worrk up front, but a huge savings down the road when you go to assemble the car and everthing fits as planned.
Just got me a 79 Camaro that would be a awesome upgrade 😎
Beautiful stuff!
I've had my '78 Z since 1985. I was in high school. For so. many. years. it was the least-respected Camaro ever. So great to see such love for these beautiful cars. Your new chassis is now on my bucket list. Well played.
Love the way you did the suspension and everything the frame is outstanding one thing you didn’t mention did you consider the wider wheel tubs in the rear so you put real tires back there. I was just checking on that and hopefully you do you had an integrated him thank you .
Beautiful
Ground clearance was a major problem for mufflers great job guy wish I had my 71 bird back 😢
Looks great!
Now This a Fascinating and Interesting investment...
Still have my #s matching LM1 80 z28 with t's since highschool 88'. Would be tons of fun....no xtra cash thanks to Covid.
Thas sick would love to have it for my 1980 TURBO TA
Wish i could afford this for my 1970 camaro...
I will take 2 of these 72& 81 trans am
That's so cool.
This is not a second generation Camaro!!! Great work and love the car!
Love this
This is exactly what these old F-Bodies have been needing. The unibody structure and A-frame front end doesn't make for a very solid chassis, especially if you want to build a 600+ hp pro touring sports car from a 2nd Gen Firebird/Camaro line. Looks like I have some saving to do for the system I want on my 78 Firebird Formula. Looking forward to this one.
Massive upgrades, I was a little surprised that with all this, you didn't look into using a Corvette, aftermarket, etc. rear I.R.S set up. Great stuff.

@@mikalnaylorI'm sure they can, but I doubt they have the calculations or the program/setup for it. Would probably be custom, so expect to pay $$$ more than the already $$$$$$. They can do it tho.
I need that chassis. Looking for a good body to mount to it now
impressive
Do you have one for 1971 chevy Nova? Looks great!!

What size tire fits under the rear of a car with this setup?
What does this do to the ground clearance? Also, does it cause the body to sit higher? Can it accommodate a Butler Pontiac engine?
BAD ASS !!!
You mentioned chassis had LS & LT motor mounts. But what about Firebirds running factory Pontiac power?
What width tire can you fit without mini tub?
why would you not put adjustment holes on the lower control arm to get more antisquat?
Will this allow for a t-56 magnum f or only the older t-56
I have a 72 grand prix would that fit or would u need to make a whole new frame for it???
man i would love this but it pushes the car weight over 4250 lbs...
2nd generation 🔥 🐦
Why no option to run a true PONTIAC motor under a Firebird. They too can be built to go fast (or faster), than a Chevy motor. Look at what "Big Chief" has proven. Wide port Edelbrocks, Tiger, Ram Air V tunnel ports can flow alot of air, not to mention the billet heads. All I'm asking is it should be an option, even at an extra cost. Aftermarket PONTIAC blocks, forged cranks and better breathing heads have made the PONTIAC V8 a horsepower and torque monster. If u don't want to do that, build a frame for a 4-wheel electric motor 2nd gen F-body so a Firebird Trans Am could live into the 22nd century. Hopefully before the government forces everyone to buy an electric powered vehicle. Thank you for building an "Awesome" frame. P.S. Someone has already built a 1965 or 66 Electric Ford Mustang. Don't u think an 1970 and a half or 1971 PONTIAC TRANS AM more powerful all electric powered car should pull up in the other lane?

We can certainly build mounts as a custom option on these. We just don't get enough demand for the Pontiac powerplants to make them a production item.
Which software do they use? Who knows it? Thank you so much
What kind of money does this kit run? Can a sbc350 with turbo 350/400 bolt in?
What's the turn around on the frame time , I need this, it's about time someone did this

SPEC is designed to be an easier bolt in product and so IRS is not accomodated in this chassis lineup. In FAST TRACK however we do offer IRS as an upgrade. roadstershop.com/product/full-chassis/1970-81-camaro-chassis/

How much hp can it handle??
What tire widths on front and back can do fit without cutting? I am assuming if you put in a 325 rear you will loose the back seats?
@speedmetal7198
2 жыл бұрын
I am running a P325 in back of my '81 WS6 TA without tubs, & using factory 7.5" x 15" wheels. This was achieved with just a pair of billet, hub-centric spacers. Mine were 13/16", but I'm pretty sure 11/16ths would work a hair better & keep the tires from contacting wheelhouse, or shock tubes/leafsprings.
How do I get sponsored for a frame for my 78- will work for frame
That's awesome! Now I just need to sell my first born or hit the lotto to be able to afford it! Haha Professional products/ professional prices. Not hating, just not anywhere near most DIY guys budgets. But we can dream and drool... 🤤
Beautiful chassis. Do you plan to offer Pontiac motor mounts for this product? That's virtually the only thing that would make me consider the Schwartz full frame over this.

Yep! Our Fast Track is available for the 3rd gens. Available with IRS optional. roadstershop.com/product/full-chassis/1982-1992-chevrolet-camaro-chassis/ Let us know if you have any questions.
You have so many options for the Camaro / Firebird cars , why do you not build a SPEC series chassis for the 68-72 Novas? Only TRAK series? Any reason for that?
@RoadsterShop
3 жыл бұрын
The goal of the SPEC series is to simplify installation typically without removing the factory floor. Doing so requires a larger amount of engineering than the Fast Track lineup in order to make that easier install work with the factory floors. Some vehicles it's just not possible to do this - others we haven't had the opportunity to invest the time required to create the SPEC chassis - and others yet are just not great candidates for the SPEC lineup.

its PERFECTION! to bad my project car is a 1978 original turbo regal with Ttops, Schwartz performance has what i want but waaaay to expensive, to the point, I can teach myself to weld and build the frame myself for 20k plus. i can do it on Autodesk fusion 360 and 3D print it in 1/10 scale or 190mm and make whatever tweaks needed before building full scale. this hobby has gotten to expensive, ill build my own.

3 years later, how are these selling? Who buys them? As a bird owner I see this upgrade and want it for mine, then I see the cost and cannot justify it for myself. Not to say it’s over priced at all, it’s just not for me. I’m curious which bird owners are putting this under their cars? Is it jay leno types? Old guys, or tech bros with cash that don’t want a typical Italian sports car. I’d love to put this on my bird to be clear. Just out of reach at the moment
