That was super cool and really fun to watch! Had a '69 SS, mostly stock F41 suspension, it handled poorly! I can only imagine what my car would have been like with that chassis!😮
As soon as I finish My current project (Cal Look 69 Karman Ghia Cabriolet), it's time to build My Son's 69 Camero. Thanks Roadster Shop for making My decision an easy one. You'll be hearing from Me around the end of '24 for Our order. Carry On 👈😎👍
Damn that is pretty. Even without the powder coating. Fun to watch this video too.
Just BEAUTIFUL, wish I could buy one. I have a 68’ SS. Beautiful work guys, amazing frame. You guys just keep killin it.

I’m restoring a 67, any tips and/or must haves for the car?
@Paralyzing99
10 ай бұрын
@@jlove24 I’d start with the drivetrain. Engine/trans/brakes/ignition. We just put in a new 383 stroker. I upgraded all my ignition, MSD distributor, MSD box, MSD booster, 8.8 plug wires, patriot headers, magnaflow exhaust, 4 core aluminum radiator, got rid of the shroud and fan wit 2 10” electric spal fans 1000 cfm. New brake booster and res, new quick steer power steering box and pump. I bought new tires as well. I replaced everything. I built this car in 1994, things have been slowing going bad, so I just had to replace everything. I’ll be putting in a rearend next year or so. My paint and interior is great. Just figure your budget and start there. They will always need to be worked on. I’ve had my car since I was 9 years old, I’m 46 now. Good luck bud.
I’m super excited because I just bought one and I go to pick it up from the shipper tomorrow! Maybe this was my chassis in the video 😂

How is it? Worth it?
The welding looks like stacked dimes. What a thing of beauty. Please tell the welders I said so too.

Thanks!!
Stunning fabrication - welds are perfect 😎
Great video, so chill to watch
I have one of these under my 67SS and it was money well spent. Definitely go with their brake lines and powder coating. Install was easy with only a few minor trims to the inner fender well.

Thanks Phil!! Great to hear - Agreed on the brake line package - saves a ton of headaches.
As a custom fabricator / auto builder for 30+ years I have to give credit and my highest level of Respect to Roadster Shop and their staff . They have single handed raised the bar or thinking out the box and engineering to a few levels beyond reach . Saw a few builds at SEMA 22 and went and saw the pictures of the build on the website . The chassis of the 32/33 Chevy with the cantilever suspension and the attention to detail . I have no words other than wow . Much respect , can’t wait to see what you guys bring to SEMA 23 . I don’t know how you can top that , but I’m sure the team will do it . Much respect from Dallas TX

Check out the SPEC 2nd gen, and builds using it, here - roadstershop.com/product/1970-81-spec-camaro-chassis/
Nice!!!
One day!
I hope it has modern corvette geometry. And spindles brakes
no grease on the threads and shafts of the bolts?
Would it be possible to use different types of metal for the frame at an extra cost?
When do you powder coat the frame?
Nice looking chassis, but how does the unibody of a 67-69 Camaro fit on it?
Roadster Shop, what do you guys charge for the install?
❤❤❤ Salaam dari Indonesia
Fuckin jewelry, just plain beautiful
Great video, do you have a 3rd gen chassis?

Not currently in SPEC, but we do a FAST TRACK for the 82-92's - roadstershop.com/product/1982-92-camaro/
Good to see that all the bolts are torqued to spec.

I'm sure it's going to be taken apart again for paint anyway.
@RoadsterShop

😑 This is not a torqued to spec assembly for the customer. Its a completely unfinished bare metal chassis, so will be disassembled again for finishing.

Surprised no torque checks

It's a raw uncoated chassis = not final install.
Why isn’t the frame primed and painted?
@branchandfoundry560
Жыл бұрын
They're sent out raw because--as I'm sure you can imagine--custom car builders want to custom paint chassis to match the car.

Not one torque wrench in sight…. And yes, why is this final assembly but the frame has no paint? It has to be completely disassembled….
@branchandfoundry560
Жыл бұрын
Paint & final assembly will be by the buyer/car builder. No reason to torque anything at this stage.

Purchased mine back in the Elgin days. EZ disassembly for paint...EZ reassemble for German torque...goodintight. The Nomad has had a tight relationship with the Stage III for 16 plus years. RS Fan... big time.🇺🇸 Marry Christmas.
