In all honesty both countries are VERY similar from culture, lifestyle, weather and even the languages are very similar! A Spaniard moving to Italy or an Italian moving to Spain would not be that EXTREME! Latin brothers...the Latin brother missing is Portugal! Ciao is a Venetian word derived from "s-ciao" that mean "slave", so ciao litterally mean "I am your slave"/"at your service" And is not the only Venetian word spread worldwide. For example "quarantena", "arsenale", "ghetto" or "pantaloni/pantalone/pantaloon". Fun fact: Pantalone is a Venetian carnival mask, its name is used with the meaning of trousers in a lot of languages, but not in the Venetian language, in Venezia "pantalon" means "fool".

In all honesty both countries are VERY similar from culture, lifestyle, weather and even the languages are very similar! To remember the order of the vertical tri-color flags of Europe, always remember "Red on Right" (except Ireland which is Orange). Italy, France, Andorra, Romania, Moldova and Ireland (again, orange not red) all do the same thing.
