I’ve always loved what Bobby McFerrin did live together with Chick Corea and I liked Al Jarreau too. Gary Valenciano did a fresh and amazing version.

i watched him live on a concert and i should say its totally worth it. He surpassed other known artists in the world on how he throw those live vocals and styles.

Holy cow! That was epic! He sings like a saxophone and many other things!

Gary sang this in his own booth... He is a total performer here in our country. He is known as Michael Jackson here due to his dance skill..And a great singer as well.. Mabuhay Sir Gary Valenciano..❤

Gary Valenciano is an ICON and #Legend here in the Philippines. Singer, FANTASTIC dancer, songwriter, actor-ish, etc. since tge 1980s.

This was out years before Al Jarreau passed on, but he might have done it as a tribute because he was a Huge fan of Al Jarreau. Gary really did a FANTASTIC rendition.

Gary V is awesome. Another artist you might want to check out is Tommy Johansson. He's the lead guitarist for Sabaton (backing vocals only) and the lead singer/guitarist for his own band Majestica. However, he does some truly amazing solo covers of everything from Disney to ABBA to Elton John to metal songs. I think his most popular cover at the moment is She's Gone (Steelheart). It's mind blowing. But he also does Alone (Heart) and a couple of Celine Dion songs too. His voice is crazy good. Tenor with almost 4 octave range into the top of the soprano range. Tommy J and Marc Martel are 2 of my top 3 male vocalists.

I have been in the music industry for too long and longer enough to say this song is one of the hardest to sing. Not many could do it perfectly but few. When I first heard it sung by Al Jarreau I couldn't helped but smiled for if it's from AJ expect it to be a quality music that will surely difficult to immitate. And this is the first time I heard a filipino musician done it the way it should be and GV is the right one for the piece.

Try "Spain" by Groove for Thought, now disbanded but formed mainly by music teachers and professors.
