Southern Hamburger & Potato Casserole

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Southern Hamburger & Potato Casserole
Easy comfort food recipe using ground meat, potatoes, cream of mushroom soup and cheese.
I used a 1 lb package of ground beef, 1 small yellow onion, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 3 med/large Yukon Gold potatoes, 1 cup+ of shredded cheese and a splash of milk.
You can omit the onion if you prefer not to use it. You can use as much cheese as you like.

@@alyssagantt2353 Boil the potatoes until they are fork tender but not falling apart. I just let mine go until the boiling water was bubbling. Russet Potatoes hold up very well after boiled. Yukon potatoes are much softer after boiled and may fall apart; but use your favorite. I added the milk to the ground beef mixture at the same time I added the can of cream soup. You want a creamy consistency; but not watery or runny.

Great question. Since they are sliced thin, just place in the pot and wait till it begins to boil, then use them in the casserole. That should only take about 10 -12 minutes.
