    I live in New Zealand, zone 10, a Filipino was gifted Soursop and brought it to work to share, the tree was grown locally. I didn't even know it could grow here and had never tasted one before. Long story short: I brought my six seedlings in to winter on my kitchen windowsill yesterday. I hope you did the same with your seeds and now have at least 1 tree bearing fruit.

    Just found your channel because of the rambutan video. My gf is living in Ecuador now, tries all kinds of fruit there! I live in SW FL, bought a soursop tree a little over a year ago, and after a bout with scale, that has been taken care of (neem oil spray) and it is growing beautifully. Over 6 ft tall now, leaves are beautiful and plentiful, can''t wait for it to fruit! Thanks for your videos, they are all beautiful and so well done, my gf and I are both so glad we found and subscribed to your channel!

    Wow what a cool tree! I have one of those growing in a pot in my house. I live in zone 9b so I am a bit weary about the how the local winter temps could damage the tree. I have kept it in a pot for about 2 years to give the tree time to grow in a protected environment. I am planning to plant it in the ground in my home orchard next spring. By the way your fruit garden is wonderful. You have some really nice trees. Thanks for sharing the video!

    Soursop is of course, sour. But it you use it to make smoothie, it tastes wonderful, because you can add sugar, or condensed milk (sweetened) to balance the sourness. I used to drink it when I was in Vietnam. Here is Sacramento, CA, it is hard to find soursop.

If God willing, i will get that) Even thought about tranport 3 year old tree by ocean in a shipping container, but I am afraid that no one company can't provide him with the right temperature on all wayy to me, all offer got only refrigerators .. This theme I was hooked straight))) I think I'd better ask the guy from Coribe to send me this seeds and be patient!

    Wendi Phan Florida Im in South Florida, Fort Lauderdale is closest large city .. They fruit! 3 to 4 years. It’s size if it gets big enough it blooms! Tropical fruit trees seem to bear earlier. mine was from seed! I just planted one because I was in the mood! Ive had the fruit from Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Honduras And Florida. All are good and yes they all seem to be a bit different. When I get fruit I’ll remember you. Ive tried the tea but because I drink Basil tea its hard for me to like something else. I use AZOMITE quarterly on this tree. Plus compost. The fertilizer I purchase from the Palm Beach Rare fruit a tree show and sale facebook.com/RFC.PBC

  • @mikeaman2008

    @mikeaman2008

    6 жыл бұрын

    Yes; It will grow in central Florida. Try to plant it in a sunny area on the south side of the property. If a building can offer a wind break and some heat in winter: the better. It will lose some leaves in the winter but will bounce back after the dormancy. If its a very small tree, try and provide some cover if there will be frost. Trees can get up to fifteen feet tall,and about half as wide; so plan to manage or allow for room. Fruits are large so let the tree grow out at least a couple of years after first fruits. Happy growing!

    Lisa Hill Soursop only thrive in zones 10-13. I believe Dallas/Forth Worth is zone 8. Perhaps give it a try. Good luck!

    Charmaine Grant Pruning: Remove dead, weak or diseased branches from the tree with pruning shears in the spring before the leaf buds begin to open. Make the cut at a 45-degree angle, 1/4 inch above an outward-facing bud. If the entire branch needs to be removed, make the cut flush with the trunk of the tree. Prune your tree to a few leading branches and a few branches off those leading branches to yield big fruits. Good luck!

    “I think it’s one of the biggest fruits in the world.” Seriously? Pumpkin. Jackfruit. Watermelon. Durian. Give us your Asian card!
