My brother just got diagnosed with cancer, the nurse (Jamaican) attending to him told us about soursop. We found the tea, then the seeds, that's why I'm here. We're gonna get thru this, GOD willing.

I hope God guides your brother through a safe journey and recovery! My mother was sadly also diagnosed but her friends (who come from Mexico and use old fashioned remedies) told her about it and she has been eating it when she can. She hasn’t been feeling much pain since she started. Sadly the fruit is very expensive in stores to I hope that when I try to plant this for her she can be relieved❤️

Hello, great video, thanks! I have a quick question. My soursop plants are 1 1/2 months old and they just started to grow some leaves. I have them right next to a window that gets just a couple of hours a day of sun light, not that much. Should I move them to a place where they can get more sun light now that they grew some leaves, or is it best to leave them where they are since they seem to like it there? How much sun light does your plants get?

Those seeds are not soursop seeds. Fresh soursop seeds from the fruit is black and only turns to a lighter color after it has been cleaned and dried in the sun. That fruit with brown seeds in it is actually Annona montana or commonly known as mountain soursop, whereas the common soursop is Annona muricata. Two different species. Mountain soursop don't taste as good as the common soursop but they can tolerate cold temperatures much better.

Soursop (Annona muricata) is a plant originally from the Antilles, where it is in a wild state. In the Peruvian Andes, the leaf is traditionally used as tea in the treatment of excessive phlegm. The seeds have anti parasitic action, the roots and leaves were used for diabetes; in Brazil, it became spontaneous in the Amazon. Prefers humid climates and low altitude. Popularly it is known as: eating araticum, great araticum, tame araticum, araticum, jackfruit, poor jackfruit, heart, queen's heart, para jackfruit, soft jackfruit. In Minas Gerais is also known as pine cone. In Maranhão is called jacama and breadfruit. In Angola it is known as sape-sape. In Mozambique it is known as anona. Soursop is widely promoted as an alternative cancer treatment, but there is no medical evidence that it is effective in treating cancer or any other disease.
