Getting my old sub ready for my new car and would like to put this type of grill on it, but the box is a ROXBOX H.O. which has a metal front plate which I'm not sure how I'd mount it to.

Alternatively, you can by a grill that's larger than the woofer (for example a 12" grill for a 10" sub) and just secure it to the box with screws or bungee cables.
Wouldn't the surround rub against the grill itself and wear out over time with excursion? i'd leave an inch cleareance between the grill and the surround just incase.

You are correct, but this sub doesn't have as much excursion as most would think, so no issues with this setup. Thanks for watching!

I've been using Soundstream for quite a while now and really like their stuff. I'll be trying out some Precision Power speakers soon, they are also from Epsilon Electronics.
Nice man Im installing some similiar bar grills, Quick question: Did the screws go in by just putting a bit of pressure on the back of the drill? Or did you measure and drill small holes beforehand?
