    On windless days where I keep my wind chimes in the patio, I take a table top fan, set it on low speed, and have it set just close enough to where the fan gently blows the air against the flap that causes the chimes to sound. I do not let the fan rotate (oscillate), otherwise I lose the consistent sound of the chimes. Also, with singing bowls, I find that the bowls would sustain a longer sound if the bowl (depending on the size of the bowl) was placed upon a thick round key ring as a stand for the bowl, then placed upon a solid surface like a table. These type of key rings come in 1, 2, and some 3 inches in in diameter, found at hardware stores, about 1/8th inch thick, and are one solid piece, not the thinner split type of key ring. The common round cloth ring or square shape cloth pad that often comes with the bowls, would absorb the vibration, minimizing the sustain sound. The metal key rings bounces the vibration back to the bowl for a longer sustain sound. Ceramic cereal or soup bowls or plates turned upside down, even the thicker mortar granite or stone bowls also make great longer sound sustaining stands.

    Yes, our learning for music is also based on our cultural background and the experiences we grew up with. These help us form emotional associations with certain sounds and scales. So yes our responses can be different and we will also see similarities amongst people who share common experiences or backgrounds.

    Which element is #1 for Grief loss of soul pet (im a air sign gemini) and then which is #2 next best then #3 then #4 ..thank you my Hello Kitty cat died i had her for 19 yrs

  • @AndreaCortez

    @AndreaCortez

    I am sorry about your Kitty 🙏🏽 The air element chime would be the best for grief when feeling heavy sadness. #2 would be the Water chime, #3 would be Earth, and #4 would be the Fire. The Air element has a scale that is associated with sadness, but it is good to listen to because it helps to process feelings. You can move through all 4 of the chimes this way. The last, the Fire chime is the most uplifting and helps to shift away from sadness. So you can work through feeling sadness towards letting go of this feeling as it moves through. 💕

    There is a tiny color dot on the bottom near the name and the colors correspond to the elements. You can check online which color goes with which element. I wrote a letter on the inside of mine so I could easily see.
