The P5's present more bass, therefore the mid's sound somewhat more subdued (possibly). At times it's like the P3 plays in a bathroom or church (not a compliment). Anyway, not my type of speaker and it seems like careful system matching is required for enthusiasts ;)

well i went with the P3 because yes, while you can hear a more "shouty sound" in the P3, it has a more linear frequency response but not quiet like a monitor or flat, still it has a nice V shape but is subtle, the center immage emmerges from the center of the speakers and not from the back which i never liked is like the main part of the show is left behind, also is a lack of emotion with all respect when you listen with a crapy sound system it might seems that the P5 is better but hell no

The P3 has a more forward midrange, which makes them sound shouty, and makes the treble sound more rolled off. The P5 sounds a lot sweeter and more natural to me, but I don't really care for either one of them

Too bad the P5's are overpriced by about $100 bucks.

why do the P3's sound bigger?

'cause the box is smaller (better soundstage), therefor the midbass has more presence (sounds bigger in the midrange section)

I like P5 better.
