Thank you Sister, you are a blessing to our community. The body is not prison! It is God, the only righteous love. My goddess… wishing you many open doors and opportunities
Note to self : The body is not an apology
After ED treatment, I swear I've listened to this 100 times, and can never get through the first 15 seconds without leaking tears...
"The body is not prison, is not sentenced to be served." This entire piece was brilliant and powerful, but this line here sticks out to me in the wake of the recent tragedies we've been hearing and the issues of mental health that are often swept under the rug. May we all find solace within ourselves.
The title "The body is not an apology" kept repeating over and over in my head this past few weeks. Then, today, I decided to search it up and this was posted exactly 1-month before my rape in 2018. I feel these words are affirming and I needed to hear them.
'The body is not to be prayed for it is to be prayed to' 👏👏
This was my call to worship! Amen. This was beautiful. I could listen to her all day.
This poem's name is one of the most beautiful sentences ever ♥

"The body is not be prayed for is to be prayed to"....... The body is a temple of God. Where we make prayers to and respect it as a house of God!

Bless you...😢 allow me to add Your body is not an apology. Stop treating it like a temple, decorating and spraying incense all over it. Stop telling yourself that you're 'fat', 'skinny'or 'too big'. Stop comparing yourself to people on cover magazines and social media because your body is not an apology. Stop craving for attention, a false sense of identity the need to belong, the frustration and pain you put yourself through. Stop telling yourself to go on diets, becoming strict vegan staying of nutrition and starving to death all in the name of perfection. Stop living a false life because listen to me sweetheart, your body is not an apology. We quick to point fingers but we know we're to blame, we all commit sind bit it ain't the same when we think of other's sins. Young lady, your body is not an apology. Is okay to be angry but don't let it overshadow you. Stop regretting the past and bodly move on. Sweetheart, you are beautifully made in His image, so don't you ever think for a second that you ain't unique. Young man, your body is not an apology. Instead of wandering and pondering on your shortcomings, why don't you get down on your knees apology nd be the man God built you to be; stop feeling like it's over when it has just begun. My held, trust the process because your body is not an apology and it will never be. #inspired by J. Cole #inspired by Button Poetry #inspired by Poets in Autumn... #Estherdankyi 😭😭I'm just speechless

We need to tell young men that they are not prisoners to their urges because people are telling them that they have to take what they don't have but crave continuously. They are saying that taking is inevitable and fulfilling. Young men are angry. They are hearing lies and horrors. They are demanding the false beauty they use to steal a woman's because they don't have a man's. While women are freed, men are enraged because they think their freedom is her prison. The rhetoric that young men receive is terrifying. Can we free them, too? I don't want my sons to see life as a contest to beat what they need from someone else when they are all they need.

What is this type of poetry called? I mean, the way it is recited with so much musicality, passion and rhythm. Is it a specific type of poetry?
Play this over some house music and thank me later
