I think it's ok! I have the xb40 and 2x xb30 and one xb22 and in mine opinion the sound quality of the xb22 is better than the xb30. I know what you mean, you are saying there is not much that i can SEE that is changed. I agree on that, the changes are under the surface. But still i like my new xb22 and it can party chain with the others!!

@@woesteloepi. thats not a fair comparison. The XB30 does sound really muffled out of the box, you have to use some eq to make it sound good. And I don't think that there are that many changes under the surface besides waterproofing and future proofing with usb c and newer Bluetooth versions.

I also have 2x xb30 and 1x xb40 but also since 2 weeks a xb22 and the sound is better than of the xb30. So now i have 4 of them and all four together sounds amazing!!! So the xb22 is a great ad on!

The sound is slightly muffled to me, mid are bit recessed for XB22.

There is no Xb42. Guess they have accepted that the 41 can't be safed.

It's kinda interesting how they went from plastic to fabric and back to plastic housing. It feels like a downgrade.

Why not move to micro USB c? Easy. Contrary to your believes the average consumer has multiple micro USB chargers, cams, speakers, even handsets. A very small minority is using USB C. That's why.
