I'm hearing this test with my Tribit Maxsound plus because this speaker is flat and accurate sounding. I think the XB32 has slightly more mid and high, bass more deep, but the XB31 slightly more fuller, and loud than XB32, and the XB30 is clearer, more mid, and loud than the both speaker, but wideless than them, problem if you hearing the music from the corner

every speaker from sony on the XB-X0 series were perfect, the X1 series were all muffled, and in the X2 series, they are like the X1 series, damn sony

xb30 for loudness and brightness in sound xb31 is for durability xb32 for bass

i use the XB30 indoor and the XB10 outdoor for more then a year and i enjoy it. the XB10 have some clipping on the bass but with with me app rocket player with eqeulizer i can fix that problem. great video

Still using XB30, best on loud volume for high's. Maybe because it uses metal speaker grill unlike fabrics.

For me Xb30 still sound the best

Agreed the others sound muffled or muddy in comparison. The XB30 sounded noticeably clearer.

Still using the xb30 daily since like 2016 and nothing wrong with it. Has great sound, gets really loud, and battery lasts all day, plus it is pretty durable. I've dropped it out of my bag onto the road a few times while biking and dropped it hard on rocks while hiking and it just kept playing. Just ordered the xb33 without hearing any reviews and it's still pre order. Just want to see something new. Kinda didn't expect the speaker to last so long. If you're always playing the xb30 on full volume it can blow out a bit. But if you don't use it that loud all the time its like it fixes itself and the distortion improves.

hi, i think going for xb43, but i'll wait reviews. however, with tweeters and 3kg weight, it can only represent a big improvement. what do you think about JBL look-like side passive radiators ?

Micro usb means in the other side is an USB or still a charger where you need to plug to 110/220? Thanks

32 clearer and more bass than 31 32 softer than 30 slightly and more bass 30 sounded brightest

Yep,30 is louder but 32 is cleaner

If someone can tell me about the quality of the image sync in all three of them because i plan to watch a lot of video with it and JBL for example are not synced at all with youtube or vimeo.. thanks!

I think they made some of the Bass lines a bit stronger on the xb 32.

The xb32 is a bit clear, but xb31 have more bass at maximum volume my opinion.

I have Klispch 2.1 computer speakers, you can tell a difference in clarity when you remove the cloth covers from the speakers. Its more clear and crisp vs having them on.

That's what I wanted

They really put good drivers in them, even if the battery dies, just replace it, if the board dies then it's time for some diy mini pc speakers just add a tweeter and a crossover for the tweeter and it's all good.

I actually think the opposite. The xb10 is a little louder but there is slightly better bass on the xb12 but most of all, There is next to no distortion on the xb12 in comparison to the xb10.

Interesting! Did you measure both speakers? Cause my XB12 does not reach as deep as the XB10. The XB10 sounds a little bit more boomy thanks to its upper bass, but it is a much warmer sound overall. My XB12 sounds really tinny...

Can I pair xb30 to xb31? I tried it but wont connect. However I found a video saying that it is possible

the sony srs xb 32 seems to just lower the volume of the audio the range from 400Hz to 1Khz and increase in its low end, in its own set eq setting. maybe better-built amplifier.

i ll always go with the xb30

The sound of the XB30, the body of the XB31, and the lights of the XB32 would be the best combination! Hope to see that in XB33. 😎

I minor difference. XB31 absorbs some sound due to the fabric covered design, while XB32 gives a clearer sound in the higher frequencies.

If I dont have one of these 3 speakers,which one do you recommend to buy????

A year late,the xb 30 is the best for sound but xb 32 for water proof,dust proof and shock proof

Glad our 2 XB30s still work, except with third party cheap chargers cuz we lost both our originals. One of the reasons why I like the JBLs better.

I bought a refurbished xb31 for $60 online. you can get them on amazon or ebay. its a great deal considering its not a huge difference from the new xb32, which is $150.

Xb31 cheaper same sound and if u make it's settings and extra bass on, it's a beast

Philjoy Savio hmm, but i don't think it will be worth spending more money on a similar speaker you already have. It will be more worth to buy a bigger one like the Teufel Boomster or Dockin D Fine.

Now can you please compare the Xb32 to the JBL charge 4.

xb31 has a more open sound than xb32 , but it doesn’t matter, in the settings in the equalizer you can fine-tune everything

If you love bass like I do go for the 32

i think they just changed the EQ a bit, with the 32 they lowered the mids and highs so the bass sounds heavier 🤔

i think they did nothing intentionally besides the design/ look. that sound difference is only because of other drives or manufacturing. just randomly. because why should they release a new version and only fucking tune the EQ by this LITTLE? that would be a really stupid investment.

@@jaynair4783 , yes in think so to, thats why the oldest model sounds more "open" , especially in the mids its often very dificult to tune a speaker richt, to little mid { high} a speaker sounds softer, more open, but most manufacturers nowedays tune even more mid AND "bass"in there speaker because that is a selling point in the shop, but when overdone makes a boomy and very direct, fatuging sound, thats depending on playback volume and musical style ofcourse...

Is XB 31 Louder then XB32 ??? On 4:47 XB 31 Sounded louder at 60% Volume Compared to Xb32 on Same Song at same Volume 60% at 4:56

If the the sound is not that big of a difference. I'd go with xb31 since it's a waterbender proof, and I'm a waterbender. :D

From some tests I did with your audio I tried to see what was happening with the difference in frequencies, it seems the xb30 has a few db gain in around 200hz, 5k and 11 k compared to xb32. At first it can seem like xb30 sounds better but for prolonged listening I feel the xb32 has a smoother sound. I wish the Sony app had an 8 band eq. There are eq apps out there but it is a lot easier playing music from the native music app.

Anker motion + vs sony xb 32 would be interesting

I purchased two xb31’s ,one for $64 and the other for $69 at Walmart so at this price I think the xb31 is the best value.

The Sony SRS xb32 sounds no different but the bass slightly goes deeper more punchier than the 31 the xb30 sounds good while the xb31 and Xb32 sound a little muffled on my opinion thay are great speakes for the price but I think Sony needs tweeters.

I have the xb31 and I love it :)

The Sony srs Xb32 speakers are nice and the bass is great ,and they do sound better than the Sony srs xb72 and the 72 are bigger speakers. -- 3/29/2021

@@andrewgagarin6501 no i do not think so just look xb40 and xtreme 1 where released in the same year xtreme 2 and xb41 where also released in the same year so i quess xtreme 3 and xb42 will also come in the same year jbl usually releases a new speaker every 2 years so xtreme 3 will be expectetd next year as well as the xb42 if there will be one cause i do not think sony will bring it on the ifa 2019 also we should expect a new boombox 2 from jbl this year as well as the puls 5 which will be a big competition for sony

I like the 31 I hate the cheap feeling plastic on the 32 it’s just a finger print magnet and looks cheap

i bought xb 30 over xb 31 and 32. !!! 30 beats both 31 and 32..

XB31 sounds the worst somehow ...flat. XB30 has good high, XB32 has good bass. I wanted to buy XB31...but now i think i buy XB32 ...maybe XB30 which sounded best, but if you can squezze same sound with tweaking XB32 then i like this idea the most.

Why don't sony ever give out the RMS watts for the speaker or MAH for the battery? Kind of annoying imo.. I am still happy with my 2x Jbl extremes tho, for 110 Eur used that i got one of those (almost brand new) i can't really complain. Two of these together are awesome in every situation imo. Although the battery is complete garbage on the extremes, they will degrade only after like 50-70 cycles, what the hell? I mean, my original extreme that i bought new never "stops" charging, the last light will blink indefinetly, and the battery lasts like 1.5 hours on full volume now, compared to the 4-4.5 it used to (i don't have more than 60ish charge cycles on it, never kept it fully drained, i keep my batteries well balanced, my 7 year old laptops battery lasts still 6-7 hours and it has been charged literally for about 800 times by now, if not more)

@@DLXWillington Oh well, if the xtreme 2 has so much better battery, then i will consider buying two of these. I will buy a new battery for my degraded xtreme and probably sell them both, because battery longetivity is important for me on portable speakers, especially considering i am outdoors really often and my outdoor gym needs portable speakers which i can count on. Would you recommend 2x xtreme 2-s or something else tho, in terms of sound quality and portability? Sorry for any possible grammar mistakes, i have been literally sleeping for 4 hours each day and been up on my feet running like crazy at work this week.

Dang dude! You need more sleep! Portability not so sure but I would definitely recommend 2x Xtreme 2s. But if you've been using 2 Xtremes, portability shouldn't be an issue either

@@DLXWillington Hmm, i used an laptop charger with my xtreme and the battery works like new again.. Maybe the original chargers are faulthy to some degree? Anyways i am happy i have once again two working xtremes.

All are good but i say xb 32

Listening with Sony ZX-600 headphones. There is microscopic difference between xb31 and xb32 sound, i think not even noticable in real world. "Upgrade" from sony engeneers just to show "work" to sony bosses.
