To save power (battery life) most manufacturers roll off their bass at high levels which also hides any potential distortion. That said...... This speaker in my opinion is the best sounding including bass & volume when comparing it with all of other speakers of this size. If you find a better one of this size, the battery cannot last as long. I'm not a fan of Sony sound gear but in this case.... Well done Sony!

Karlosss I also love the Sony xb31 and 32 I noticed on his reviews on Sony speakers he doesn’t seem to like them

Such an awesome speaker. My only problem is, if you're like me (go loud or go home), the speaker will lower its volume at 50% battery and tell you to charge it. It will not allow you to spend the entire battery at max volume. I reset the speaker and trouble shooted.. But apparently Sony says "this is not a defect" you must plug your speaker in to continue listening to your music on high. So I suggest fully charging the speaker and if you have a power bank that you rarely use, just keep it near by. Because you WILL need it if you're like me 🤷‍♂️

Use EQ settings. It really improved the bass for me.

If you want more bass, turn off the clear audio+...

Finally found a video that placed emphasis on the bass and the preferable volume levels so THANK YOUUU! 🙌🏾 I’d bought the JBL Flip 4 and it loses bass at max volume which is why I’m returning it. If my Bose Soundlink Mini hadn’t just died, I wouldn’t be looking for a new speaker. I don’t need anything big so I think I’m going to wait until reviews come in for the new Sony XB23. I’ve seen so many comments on other vids that the lights and extra bass kill the battery life of the XB32. Anyway, thanks again.

i have an ipod shuffe i load up with some popular songs i like and it sadly still uses the 3.5mm jack so im sorta glad it has one. though i could just get a 3.5mm to Bluetooth adapter..

This speaker has great bass and sound no issues gives great sound performance in my opinion.

How's the battery performance of Tribit Maxsound plus? Does it drain out quickly? I want to buy one as well..

I have just bought this speaker, but it seems the battery doesn't last long. It states that it should last 24 hpurs but it seems mine last just 3 hours. ☹

From what I've experienced with Sony speakers, they've kind of let me down. Their headphones are pretty awesome though.

Tell you what thou , I’d prefer the Sony Xb 32 over the jbl flip 4-5 and the Bose soundlink color ll , along with the U.E wonder boom or boom 3, but in all everyone does have there own preferencea but i went to Best Buy n spent over an hr testing them out on the demo displays that they have up and I’m convinced with the Sony!!

Bought this speaker in the last year, and it is a complete piece of CRAP! It has given me nothing but trouble and grief since day one, including poor battery life, takes an eternity to charge, takes repeated attempts to connect to bluetooth (Highly inconsistent). Have repeatedly contacted SONY via their website, and they have been useless. In my experience, they do NOT stand behind their products. A complete and utter waste of money. Do NOT recommend!
