Love the graphs; you can see that JBL has more selective frequency, highlighting certain ones and separating them while Sony tries to show them all and results in a rounder but slightly muffled details.

Add is for stereo pairing 2 xb41s equals stereo pairing, wpc is for more then 2 and or various xb speaker models

U guys have latency on your charge 4? Mine works fine no noticeable latency with my iPhone or iPad on KZread or Netflix.

For the WPC you didnt need Music center, you can pair it together only on the speakers

Pat - rik he probably doesn’t know how to use WPC first you have to go to the app and then hit the group speaker tab and then press search and on the other speaker press wpc button and after a few seconds they will connect together.

I just bought the Sony XB32. Even though I like the sound of it. I just discovered something I didn't like. It's that when it past 20% of battery Life it when down and couldn't bring it until it was about 50% and I had to turn it off and on again. I think Sony should do something about it, because of that I'm thinking of returne it. Also the controls buttons should be more illuminated. Not in the back of the speaker

I was looking at these recently as I have a HomePod but I really need something portable with solid volume. I know floor units aren't great but the XB32 sounded so much more balanced and smooth overall in the few places I've tried them out. The extra bass on the Sony really seemed to compliment the rest of the audio well. The JBL wasn't bad but it seemed to lack a little bass and maybe was a little more flat and bland in the highs and mids from what I heard.

From what I hear the mids on xb32 are bit more foward sounding then chrage 4 also I find highs better on sony beacuse it doesn't seem overwhelme the mids like I find chrage 4 does now bass however I also feel sony is better it may go lower then chrage 4 and it might even be cleaner not overkilling the mids like chrage 4 does

@@nicholaschanvn I dot own the xb32 but to me xb32 is better sounding then chrage 4 i used to have charge 4 I take it back returned it it had pretty decent bass but problem was mids where weak you couldn't hear them well highs where more in tuned with bass but they still kinda of got covered the doss soundbox XL which is one I ordered to replace my chrage 4 it's like 70$ on Amazon I am trying different brand hoping it's better then chrage 4 but I hear it has more flat sound but lower bass is pushed up or more this deeper then chrage 4 probably clearer same with mids and overall sound the bass does weaken at highest volume but even then it still sound pretty good

Braedons Rants & MORE exactly JBLs bluetooth speakers have overwhelming highs and they just sound too over processed to me

I think sony has now enable to turn off the low batt warning thru an update of the app... got the xb32.

Did you do the range test with LDAC turned on or off? I think the higher quality LDAC might reduce the range, but you can turn that off.

around 6-8 hrs depending on the volume. Remember if you have a 20% battery, the audio will go down and can't do nothing until you charge it. This is for the sony

Just got my xb32 amazing product sound and the base is so clear it's great and its better than xb31 don't mislead people, love Sony, Sony all the way 🙌

Honestly, I find the audio test in your reviews somewhat lacking. The microphones you used do not represent the actual audio playback of these speakers. They are somewhat distorted and muffled in the video. I’ve personally heard both these speakers in stores, and I can tell you this: the Sony has a deeper bass that gives a more thrilling experience. The JBL on the other hand is richer in the mid to high frequencies, which is great for vocals and generally pop and classical music. If you’re someone like me who seeks a more energetic experience, then definitely go for the Sony. Otherwise, JBL is a great choice too. Personally, I find the LED lights on the Sony adds a little more cosmetic to the speaker itself, making it more appealing to me.

UE Speakers sounds like shit, I had a boom 2 and a friend of me has Megaboom 3... I sent mine back and changed to XB31... UE speakers sound so bad, no bass, no volume in sound... they get loud, but even the megaboom 3 could be a JBL flip 3 too... I don't recommend buying one, it sounds cheap...

Not with Android Sphones ( I don't know about Ios phones) ..try TV, projectors, laptop...200-300 ms That's why Sony have LDAC and Philips AptX ..but still a little lipsync. Only AptX LL technology truly eliminates lipsync

I love Sony speaks. I have two blue xb21, one black xb31 and going to add more of xb31, xb41. No problem pairing them together. Not impressed with new look xb22 xb33.I dont like the JBL charge knowing the speaker sound comes from one side. I will stick to sonys older speakers

speaker things they both do good 60hz which is normally around the limit for such a speaker the Xtreme 2 or xb41 do 50Hz

I'm not sure why but the audio does not do the Sony justice here. I've compared these speakers in the shop & JBL was a huge disappointment in comparison. When turning on live mode with the Sony, nothing else came close. I simply can't here a huge difference here with headphones or a home theatre with sub.. Never thought I'd say it but sony audio against the JBL kicks ass!

Meine Xb31 ist bei 14% nicht so laut wie mein Handy auf 14%. Heißt die unterstenl autstärkenstufen fehlen wenn man die Lautstärke über das Handy steuert. Kann ich mir gut vorstellen das die Charge 4 auf manchen Lautstärken lauter ist als die Sony.

Binaural is only more accurate for imaging, not for actual sound. Binaural is all about room acoustics.

@@ivanlukrainien2204 this is simply not true. what you are hearing is a representation of the stereo imagining with full spatial information thus its the best way to hear the stereo imaging of the speaker. however what you are hearing are all the room reflections and colouring of the sound, its actual a poor representation of frequency response. to actual measure frequency response you would use an Anechoic chamber which is the opposite of a room full of reflections. the way around that is a very near field measurement at less than a cm. Binaural favours spatial over accuracy.

I don't know about you guys, but giving the user the ability to control equalizer settings through an app is a huge plus for me. As you know, we all have our own likes and dislikes with sounds. Some prefer more bass than others. Sony gives us a choice by letting us control that through an app whereas you're stuck with JBL's sound preferences.

Equalizer is most important!

I have an XB31. It sounds wonderful if you stand close to it, but tiny and loud if you stand further. It is loud inside, but not so loud outside. The XB31 is shit when it comes to resistence. I dropped it on a wool carpet from around 65cm and the front grill broke. I took the grill out, and it was cracked in 3 directions, the centre being over the SONY logo ( on the upper half ) . I let the speaker on the bed facing down, guess what? The left dustcap was pushed. Tried the hot glue stick method, worked but now it looks awful as it is covered in hot glue residue. Tried putting a little super glue gel on the bigger crack, the spot on the front became pure white. I was like WTF?! because the XB31 was like 1 month old and it wasn't cheap. It works perfectly tho.

The newer xb22 and xb32 is more durable I had the sony xb22 and I drop it on hard floor before and the grill never cracked but it is popped out of place sense I toke it off but the plastic body is more durable then a fabric body

I listened to both bought the xb32 just sounded better to me

jbl is better but since i can get the sony for $67 i think i'll take the sony lol

The histogram talk by itself. Sony got the wider range of sound which is richer to a most variable type of music. I think this reviews are always biased because they always sample on EDM. If you like EDM, R&B, Rap, take JBL is a no brainer, is almost designed for that, as opposite you like Rock, Indie, Blues which contains too many details take Sony coz wont disappoint you, dat simple.

The sony speaker is the one your aunt buys you instead of the jbl or ue

The xb32 is $60 now. That’s a good price I think.

I do not get it. Why is it important to use type c cable, if it is not yet a widely used protocol in the entire technology market. in comparison, the micro USB type is still used by most technological devices, and by market I mean the other countries where Sony is present and smart phones still come on the market in large numbers with the USB cable. The c-type cable does not yet make realistic competition to the micro usb type cable in the sense of range in the market to obtain a greater sale of bluetooth speakers in all the countries where it is present.

sony -- we have extra Bass mode in our speaker. jbl -- you kiddo we have a low frequency mode and that nearly kill your passive radiator.

Remember that extra bass mode is just an auto eq while jbl low frequency mode is actually REMOVING all eq.

The Sony is lacking treble. The JBL sounds more controlled and defined overall. But hey, sound preference is subjective!

If you're using iOS and Spotify don't get the Sony, you will never experience Hi-Res.

Bruh get a second charge 4 they sound spectacular! Plus JBLs play louder when there in stereo mode, u will have 30 by 30watts playing, check my I.G. gadget_gundam page not the best vid quality because I was moving to the music but u can definitely hear everything! 😁
