Am I the only one bothered by the fact that Sonic fought the biolizard. It feels like it takes the shine away from how cool the fight was in SA2, two "ultimate lifeforms" fighting to determine if Shadow truly is the ultimate lifeform.

+squirtkipfan01 Absolutely... flipping... AGREED!!! No, I mean, I 100% agree with you on that one. It DOES need more love of the handheld versions of older games, such as the ones for the Game Gear. Maybe we could ask SEGA if they can make a game with some remade Game Gear zones.

As my first sonic game, I really liked this game as a kid. All of the stages are really solid. Except radical highway, that stage can go to hell.

It would be better if there was a Sonic chaos level instead of a Sonic CD level the rival should be Fang the Sniper from sonic triple trouble and the Boss it would be great if it was from Sonic chaos or Sonic triple trouble In the GBA era the rival should be Gmerl from Sonic advance 3 and the Boss could be super egg robo from Sonic advance 1 In the DS era the rival should be Blaze the Cat from Sonic Rush and the Boss should be Ifrit from Sonic rivals 2 and the 3rd level it would be perfect if it was from Sonic rivals like neon Palace Zone Besides from that it would be a nice version

"What if we made Sonic Generations, but had $2 and a button, and just didn't care?"

I had this question for a while what would happen if we mix the console versions with the 3DS version? Is it an alternate version of g Generation's story, or is it lost content with this version of the console versions? Wasn't originally supposed to be one story all-in-one game but got scrapped during development or were these stages originally supposed to be DLC combining the 3DS version and the console versions together?

You clearly didn't play Sonic Adventure 2. Like Dead End said, he fought it when he and Shadow turned Super.

The cutscenes were so damn lame in the 3DS version

The coolest details I've only just realised now is that Shadow is Much faster with his Boost than Sonic and Silver is much Slower than in general and needs Teleportation to get ahead because he doesn't know how to boost

I like the level choices but why on earth did they give classic sonic the homing attack? Combined with Modern Sonic being completely 2D, what's the difference between the two playstyles..

They did that because the dreamcast play-style is basically the classic one in 3D with homing attacks. You can still spin dash and there's no boost in Sonic Adventure.

I play the pc version but the 3ds version is wayyyy different from the base game 1. The characters aren’t in sonics party 2. Its 2d only 3. The dialogue is ripped from the og cutscenes 4. There are special stages 5. There are stages not from the base game Overall its still good but i still prefer the base game

Super late reply, but I've noticed while replaying this how little handheld rep we got in this supposedly handheld-focused version. Really wish we'd gotten Game Gear and Advance eras instead of different levels from the same games as the console version. And the second to last boss is Egg Emperor instead of anything from the modern games?? Generations 3DS is a fine game, but it could've been so much better.

The level design and graphics aren't as good as the console version, and there isn't much excuse as most people prefer colors ds than wii and this was made by the same people so they surely could of done better. The graphics are understandabe though due to the limitations of the 3ds Edit: still looks like a solid game for the most part but could of been better
