I like that this version is all side scrolling. It gives this game a much more classic feel to it.

Better roll physics, special stages, some of the stages are better than the HD version personally (Mushroom Hill>Sky Sanctuary), online, missions are entirely optional instead of being needed. you could make like cool little profiles, I love how the Vs characters are actually races instead of a battle. Classic Sonic has an integrated homing attack instead of attack set in HD.

It may have been the inferior version graphically, but it was on the superior system (at least compared to the Xbox 360). It also had better mechanics and different stages. Personally, I prefer Sky Sanctuary to Mushroom Hill, but I love both! The music in Sky Sanctuary is just so energetic and upbeat! I loved playing through it in Sonic 3 and Knuckles for the amazing scenery, music, Metal Sonic boss fight, and (if you were playing as Knuckles) the Super Metal Sonic boss fight! It's a shame they didn't recreate those, but there was a Metal Sonic fight in the same section of White Space, so I can't fault them. I also liked Radical Highway over Speed Highway, and it was nice to have Sonic fight The Biolizard!

Biolizard final sections are considerably easier than the original. Great job.

The good thing: there are new stages The bad thing: there is no actual 3d The worst thing: classic sonic has homing attacks

So they didn't add any stages from Sonic Heroes, Sonic 06, or Sonic Unleashed (excluding the bosses) but they have a Sonic Rush stage. Good job Sega.

Woah. My top time for Tropical Resort was 2 minutes 12 seconds & 67 milliseconds! You aced that in 2 minutes 1 second & 1 millisecond!

@@firstnamechrislastnamemart2372 its indeed not a cash grab there was thought put into this game like trophies online modes time attacks and having the mii functionality so you can play with your friends and have sweet card banners the HD versions never had this you couldn't race your friends or online players if it was a cash grab those features would be locked and the stages would all be the same as the HD yet they're not I agree with you chris out of sight out of mind .

Is no one gonna talk about the fact that this version of the game has NOTHING to represent Unleashed? CD, Heroes and 06 don't have a stage, but they do have Boss Fights, Unleashed, however, has literally nothing at all in the 3DS version.

This looks like, it was made in 2007 rather than 2012. This doesn’t look to bad for 3DS though.

I think that this version is actually better than the console versions. Although this one may not be as visually pleasing, they make up for that with better camera angles while playing. The stage choice is ten times better than the console, and the gameply for modern is very reminiscent of Sonic Rush, and that's fantastic.

I like both the 3DS and console versions of Sonic Generations. I know people say that the 3DS is inferior to the console version, but personally, I think it's just as likeable as the console version due to there being different stages not seen in console. Nah, the problem was that Dimps was shoved under a 6 month time limit by SEGA to make the game, so we ended up with only 7 stages and barely any side content. It was a result of crunch time.

Just saying this Zone order would make more sense with others... (Key) /:basically, choosing between two zones(same emerald in the end) (Rival Boss): basically a Race. (Boss): basically who you face in the end of an era. (Classic Era) Green hill->Collision Chaos/Oil Ocean->Launch Base->Metal Sonic(Rival Boss)->Big Arms(Boss). (Adventure Era) Emerald Coast->Green Forest/Sky Rail->EggFleet-> Shadow(Rival Boss)->Metal Madness(Boss). (Modern Era) Windmill Isle->Frontier Canyon(Sonic Rivals 2)/Kingdom Valley->Astroid Coaster-> Silver(Rival Boss)->Nega Wisp Armor(Boss) Final Boss-> Time Eater. Special stage type: Sonic Heroes.

Even though this game don't look as good, have no lobby, have less characters and is not in 3d compared to the original, this game is good (in my opinion) bc atleast this game have missions, online (which is free btw) and ACTUALS special stages (which are the ones from heroes but great and fixed). (But I still wonder why the original do not have classic knuckles or classic amy 🤔)

knew it you would respond like that, but just know that, EVERYONE can have their opinions, you can consider sonic generations as the devil of the sonic franchise, i don't really care, but as insulting people who like this game, that's dumb as ***t man

Ok, this version of the game does have some really cool stage choices like Emerald Coast, and it has the Heroes boosting minigame, but you can’t deny the fact that these graphics are heckin’ ugly.
