Solving the Annoying noise - CFM Sound Symposer Delete

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Finally deleting the factory Ford sound symposer. This has been something I have wanted to do since before I even purchased the car. It sounds so much better now not having that crazy drone in the cabin.

I bought delete kit and tried it for a couple weeks took it off. I absolutely love the factory sound. I’m keeping mine stock no aftermarket exhaust so I think it sounds great. To each their own😉

And that's why they sell cars in more than one color, not everyone likes the same thing.

@@JrsGasolineAlley yeah, you young guys didn't grow up in the era when the cool guys had muscle cars that sounded awesome and those of us that didn't have money then were jealous of them. Now we can buy a car that sounds like that without having to go to Summit Racing and having the exhaust modified. Sometimes it's the little things. To each his own indeed. ;)

Could you just remove the hose going into the firewall, tie it off somewhere, and let that sound stay in the engine bay? Would that work or would it create some kind of boost leak? I'm just trying to figure out the easiest way. Also you could reinstall it quite easily.

You can just disconnect the wire harness that he did that he has to tie off. It’s like unplugging it so it stops working. Only difference is you don’t “delete” all the tubing and parts which some people hate as they clog the bay up a lot. I unplugged it and taped it to the side of the battery box. It doesn’t get hot and I used heat resistant tape. Great thing with that is I can plug it back in any time.

I have that rattle/ drone noise I think you are talking about. As soon as I installed my Steeda CAI, this rattle sound started coming from behind my gauge cluster in the engine bay. I will do the delete and pray that fixes it. Did your kit come with thread sealant?

Great video! I simply disconnected the wire that clips onto the controller you took off. I probably have the names wrong but the white clipped wire that you unplug and tie off. I unplugged it in 1 min and taped it off to the side. Now I can turn it on and off simply by hooking it back in. Down side is all the tubes and what not are still there.

I just put a plug in the hose near the firewall and it worked just as well.

Great video and informative. A couple of suggestions or critiques , please don't set parts and or tools on your vehicles paint (Hood), secondly use a fender cover. Prevents getting scratches and causing other problems.

It's mainly done for the Euro market where they have ultra strict sound restrictions. It gives the driver some sportiness sound.
