Is the pyramid setup still effective in the base game?

it should be. the vanilla game's light values on the surface should peak at 80,000 lux value and should be unchanged. pyramid setup should work

is it still worth it if my peak lux is only at 10,000

great question- that depends on if you get meteor showers since its always worth it to harvest surface-sunlight regardless of how much you get if you dont get meteor showers. if you do get meteors, it might not be worth to build and power a setup to safely harvest sunlight

Hey I was wondering if u happen to know any way to convert power to any kind of long-term energy storage? The only idea I had was using extra power to refine oil but I think that magma is more efficient for that anyways.

long term energy storage would be either converting raw materials into a fuel source or storing power in transformers since they dont have run off (but still create heat) but thats alot of transformers to store power. Other wise, what comes to mind is using the rocket launch exhaust heat to store enough thermal energy to start melting minerals into magma and then storing said magma on airflows in a vacuum. everything else is too specific of resource management/processing, like a sour gas boiler

Maybe Infinite liquid/gas storage into a steam chamber. You can add infinite hot steam at the 200c(since you can’t really work with infinite heat). When you want the power you simple turn on the turbines that start converting the infinite steam storage into power.

What do I do about meteors? I get a lot of meteor showers that break my solar panels :(

bunker doors! those dont break after getting hit during a shower and you can automate to destroy the regolish after! watch out though, because if you just have bunker doors above the solar panels, it wont be enough because there is debris after each shower. i do have a video somewhat in the works that goes over that though- so soon!
