A couple of thoughts as an owner of a Solar Auxilia army of decent size (if not points 😆): 1. Dracosans are generally wasted on Rifle Sections. As you say, use the Aurox or foot slog (yes, Napoleonic line infantry deployments do work with these). For the Dracosan, buy a full-strength Veletaris Storm Tercio and use it to smash your opponent and / or seize a key objective. In this Ed forget the Demo Cannon and take the flare shield. Sit back and enjoy. 2. Command Section: agreed 100%. The original concept (1.0) was a Rifle Tercio was allowed to upgrade one section leader to a Troop Master with +1 LD and +1W, all sections then being able to benefit from the leadership boost. Emperor only knows what the writer was thinking of here because the Command Section is bad. More expensive point for point than Tactical Astartes is a good deal? I think not! So what if I slapped 6 veletaris storm (still 10) sections in a dracosan and 1 more extra (command squad but on 5 and marshal) And then 3 leman russ tanks, or is it better to get 3 2-10 man tercio with the dracosan? Using the solar cohort. Really seeing if one can use a mech inf company while not going for any arty

Just a point on penal cohorts taking bayonets - if you run penal cohorts it’s pretty much mandatory to drop the lasrifles on the infantry in exchange for one of the alternatives as they lose close order so they can’t move/charge in a turn where they fire their lasrifle. The problem then arises that their entry specifically states that a model with a lasrifle may take a bayonet, not a model with a lasgun, lascarbine or stubcarbine. Most likely an oversight but RAW the bayonet can only go on a lasrifle.

Great Video. Thank you for your effort! Two things: The Line Command has a use in my opinion. It is the cheapest way to get a command vox. Its just 75 points and may be the best option to stick into the backfield and hide out of line of sight with your marshal joining the unit to spread LD 10 through out your army. It also provides line in the backfield this way. A command squad with command vox for 115 points and no line seems notably worse. I totally agree, that the command sections should be different from the normal units in some other way. But this seems to be a possible use. Regarding the aurox: You really don't think a weapon on top is worth it? I considered using multi-lasers in an army with 7 auroxes. Especially after dropping the units, targeting the auroxes seems like a bad trade-off for the opponent, while not killing them gives me free multi-laser shots. And I could just buy another rifle section with vox on it for 65 points instead of those 7 multi-lasers. Looking forward to your other videos! Your content is great!

I love the SA fluff & models but honestly I can't afford to get into them til they make the Rifle Platoons & Malcador Tanks in plastic.

Red makers cult 3d files better than fw an so stupid cheap if you have someone to print them. I have thw whole range an I just clicked over 200 line infantry now in 2 weeks of printing slowly

Love your videos. FYI the sound on the last few videos is a bit different from videos in the past. Kinda clipping or something (the highs are crackling). Maybe the sensitivity on the mic?

I think youve just solved a problem for me! I noticed my recordings recently have “flat top” waveforms and couldnt figure out why, thought maybe i was jmagining things. But maybe im not. I’ll do some testing - thank you!

Im so keen to get a game in with my solar they sure don't feel as strong as 1st Ed but I think maybe still viable

I honestly think you have to take 3x20 in each rifle tercio. 3x10 at T3 and a 4+ save just seems to fragile in a game based around killing T4 with a 3+ save.

Its still 195 points (with voxes) for 30 wounds of men with a decent gun for returning fire. That isnt that fragile when its got good Ld, and especially when guns that are designed to kill MEQs have lower volume of fire against your more, crappier wounds. I think they work equally well at all numbers, just differently.
