I made these on Maundy Thursday .. and it turned out amazingly well.. soft and mildly spiced. I’ve been making cross buns for 3 Yrs and this is the “Best Recipe” Grt instructions and foolproof. Thanks Bincy

I tried this recipe last year and it was super delicious...so soft , im looking forward to making again now, they also freeze so well just take out overnight to thaw and pop into the Microwave , oven or airfryer to warm up ...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Bincy, thank you so much! I made it this morning and they turned out amazing. I made some changes based on what I had at home and it worked: My daughter doesn't like raisins so I took that out and swapped some buns with chocolate chips. I had no cinnamon so I used nutmeg instead, I had no orange zest so I used lemon. I was wondering if using salted butter will alter the recipe but it does not. I can't rave enough at how soft and yummy this recipe is. Much love from Alberta, Canada.

I have just made these buns they will be out of the oven in 10 minutes, they are looking good. Can’t wait to try them. Thank you for the recipe, easy to follow and I find your voice so calming..❤️

I made them today and they were excellent extremely soft and fluffy. I had no whole milk so I used evaporated milk and water and it did not affect the final result. The most difficult part was kneading the dough without flour, it kept sticking to my hands and the counter. Next time I will put a small amount of oil on the surface. My family absolutely loved these. I will definitely be making these for Easter from now on. I have already recommended the recipe to others. 10 STARS

I've seen other recipes for hot cross buns, but I like this one much better. I like the spices you've added to the buns and the idea of using apricot jam and water for the sugar glaze at the end is a really nice idea. I made these buns for the first time on Good Friday with half the quantity mentioned and they were so soft n tasty. I used mixed fruits soaked in brandy instead of raisins. Thank you for this wonderful recipe
