So…I’m Going Back to College | University of Washington

Ойын-сауық

This video took forever to film and edit, but I’m finally posting it today! My birthday was actually on June 14th, so some of the announcements on here are a tad bit late lol. Thank you all for your continuous love and support. Exciting plans to come soon…
Xoxo,
Jess

NOE! Man, I miss you! How have you been? Gotta hear the life update sometime soon! Thank you so much for this comment. It’s been a rough year, but one thing that’s helped me get through it is by reminding myself of how grateful I am for the people I’ve met this year. I can’t tell you how many times my mood has lightened up just by interacting with you and Martin! Y’all mean so much to me! I’m looking forward to making more videos opening up about my mental health journey and sharing updates in hopes that I can help others feel like they’re not alone in the battle!

I will be attending University of Washington Seattle for my freshman year this fall for Electrical Engineering. Who knows, maybe I'll see you around, and I'll try and say hi if I spot you. You've had so much to juggle and so much to think about. I think by the end you'll be happy and proud of this decision once you graduate. A huge congratulations on that award, that's amazing and happy 21st birthday!! Treat yourself to some Pho Than Brothers once you return to Seattle!

Thank you so much, Ethan! Please say hi if you see me next year! I love meeting people that have seen my videos on KZread because it makes me feel like I’m starting to have a noticeable positive impact on my community! Likewise, thank you so much for watching my videos and leaving this thoughtful comment. See ya next year and best of luck with your freshman year! Let me know if there’s any questions or topics you’d like me to discuss about UW, and I’d be more than happy to help :) Let’s go get Pho Than Brothers sometime!

I just found your channel an hour ago, and following your journey of deciding to drop out and then to go back really struck with me. I started at UW in 2019 and after one quarter, I was horribly depressed and had no idea what I actually wanted to do with myself. I ended up dropping out after that first quarter. After a couple months, I realized that UW was really where I wanted to be. I really missed parts of it. It's interesting to me that I'm not the only one who has gone through dropping out and going back. Maybe we'll see each other on campus (but I doubt it since campus is so big).

Hey! Thank you so much for this comment. It helps me feel like I’m not alone. I’m always in the IMA or the physics astronomy buildings, and if you ever happen to see me there or somewhere else on campus, please please please say hi! I would absolutely love to meet you and hear more about your story! Did you end up deciding what you want to do now, and if so, how did you find it?

@@jessicastarsinspace2563 Will do! I’ve been in the astronomy buildings one time for a class haha. Still figuring out what I wanna do, but that’s perfectly okay! Ive been heading towards a drama major but been thinking about philosophy instead lately.

Thank you! I appreciate your concern! I don’t know much about safety within the campus as I have not personally experienced any significant problems, but one of the biggest downsides of the school is safety surrounding the campus unfortunately :( I have had many instances where I feared for my safety, whether that be getting chased in broad daylight or witnessing crime/violence/drugs right by the school! Not to mention all the UW alerts the students get about all the horrible incidents occurring near campus. I hope that will change for the better in the upcoming years! UW needs to do a better job of keeping its students safe!
