what i wish i knew before college / university of washington q&a

Hi there! In this video, I talk about the things I wish I knew before going to college at the University of Washington. These are just some tips on how to survive and enjoy your time in college! At the end of this video, I answered a couple questions that you guys commented on my “stress out w/ me: a day in the life of a uw engineering student!” video which you can find here: • a day in the life of a...
EDIT: I have eaten on campus food! For some reason, I was thinking about just the food at the dorms. BUT on campus food in my opinion is not bad! Just a tad overpriced.
I hope you all enjoy!
sending love to you all,

3:08 I agree. That's why I'm reading the assigned textbooks already. My life is busy as it is and it is a lot easier to master concepts after long-term exposure, especially prerequisites to majors, ahead of time.

yes, exactly! lectures are much more valuable if one is exposed to the concepts beforehand

Planning out classes by location is HUGE. Thats one thing I did not think about this year. I scheduled classes back to back and had to walk across campus within in 15 minutes. Also Ratemyprofessors saved me my Freshman year lol. Really great advice, glad I stumbled upon this video. Looking forward to more!

Hi, i heard if you're admitted as pre-major (I got accepted as pre-nursing) that UW is not worth it. To my understanding, the programs are super hard to get into once you complete the prerequisites. I was just wondering what your take on that is, whether you've experienced being pre-major or one of your friends on campus have.

omg i have the same question. i got in for pre humanities and i have been trying to find out what it’s like for my major. it’s def not as challenging as yours but it’s stressful not knowing if it’s worth it or not

Wow I am wondering the same thing. I got into pre-social sciences in the college of arts and sciences and I’m hoping to get into the LSJ major but I need to know if it’s worth taking my prerequisites or if I have a slim chance of being admitted to my major 😭

@@map5948 yeah i’m actually just not going to uw anymore, which is upsetting since it’s my top school but i don’t want to have to apply for my major every year and get rejected. so i’m committed to umass amherst :)
