    Pat was the GOAT back in my early years playing guitar in the late 70s. Seeing him playing Makin' Magic on The Old Grey Whistle Test was a life changing moment foe me. Thanks for posting this up, you've really nailed his technique.

    If you wanna get ontop of your game, learn how to play "Life in London" and sing it at the same time... Once you get it, all other tunes that require singing seem effortless. I did a PT tribute band years ago and it was one of the most challenging endeavors, musically Ive ever encountered. But BEYOND a blast to do!

    Jeff, you nailed his tone (almost) He and "Mr Thrall" both had AD/A flangers on their pedal boards. Pat Travers did the intro. Through a leslie in the left channel at coral speed. Also, your right hand is off on the intro. When you played it at the beginning of yhe video

    @billyrae4804

    6 ай бұрын

    Because Ive spoken to Pat Travers about this. Amongst other things. Such as how during the intro, Pat used a Marshall Plexi through a Leslie 147 at coral speed. His famous "scream" effect that you hear after the first chorus of "Go all night" on Live! Go for what you know is also an AD/A set to overload. Pat had a pedal board that was second to none back in the day. Anything else you wanna know?
