I have my first pop up event coming up so this video was perfect lol. I have my food handlers and the cottage program license buuut in Arizona they don’t allow perishable items (like cheesecake) or at least I’m not educated enough to know exactly how I can do that 🥲

California cottage law doesn’t allow perishable items as well, but I still see many home bakers that sell “cheesecake” items. I guess many just ignore the fact 🤷🏽‍♀️

You'll need a commercial license and they're going to want to inspect and certify your kitchen if you want to deal with dairy, and other TCS foods.

I was thinking about doing it at home because I have a whole house with a yard but I don’t think it’s a good idea having everyone know where I live. I show my work on Facebook Instagram and now TikTok. I also don’t want to spend a lot of money to rent a venue. If I try to do a pop up shop somewhere public then I’d have to have a permit. So idk what to do. 😫🤷🏽‍♀️

Find events on Facebook groups. Watch out for scammers. Join a group that seeks vendors for their events. Pay the fee and show up. 😅

I know this comment is 2 years old but do it in your yard...no one asks who's house it is. I did 3 vendor events in my backyard...1st time we had around 12 vendors...2nd and 3rd year we had over 20 vendors...we made it a Sip and Shop event and it was wonderful. We just locked all doors that lead into the house and everything was fine. All other times we did it in a public area. Backyard vendor events are smaller of course but we made some great money those days.

Yes I want to start a cupcake maybe pie or cookies I'm latina . It's like latina have flavors we like white they like and black they like. Any ideas on recipes and what flavors to sell mostly to African Americans and white Americans and only a few Latinos . I wanted try a guava flavor but they non Latinos were like yuck you should have sweet potato pie cupcakes or pumpkin if white it's hard to be yourself

You need a credit card processing that doesn’t charge you that % per transaction. I can help you w that. I have a chocolate covered strawberries biz and I also do the processing which was perfect and I don’t pay those credit card fees ☺️ square is expensive and clover too
