Nice, Slivers! 9 lord is pretty standard, maybe 10 before cloudshredder was printed. Usually the split is more like 3 x 3 instead of 2 x 4 + 1 though.

muscle buffs the mirror, although I think surgical and cabal therapy decks are probably much more common than the mirror so 3x3 is probably correct by that logic.

I love watching mengu play legacy.

That felt awesome, then the board wipe hits and the mega "womp womp" hit my soul because I want slivers to be good, but any control match up they can get picked apart :(. I don't mind too much though because I get to do commander things with slivers. Very interesting to work the companion in like that, I'm definitely interested in them making more builds with companions. I also have a feeling standard within the next couple sets will either have some reprints with slivers or some new ones.

There was actually a time where CounterSlivers was a tier 1 deck in legacy around 2008-2010 but printing Delver then Terminus killed most of the real aggro decks of the format.

4 mana is a rough ask, not to mention actually making green mana is tough and it's not really worth weakening your consistency to play a card that might get you 2 slivers into play.
