[Legacy] Sliver me timbers! Embracing the power of teamwork with the fan-favorite tribe.

Ойындар

I put the pedal to the metal with Legacy's most aggressive tribe. Some of the games got surprisingly scrappy, and a lot of kills for exact damage. Check it out!

Ahh Slivers... my entrance into Legacy. It's great to see complex interaction even with this seemingly simple aggro deck. Great video!

That D&T game was such a wild ride that most theme parks would've banned it by now

That D&T game was a rollercoaster of emotions and is by far my favorite match I've ever seen in my currently 3rd year playing Magic lol

I think every other streamer I've ever seen would have scooped about 3 min into that match.

There is a 3 mana sliver that let's you sac slivers at no mana cost to gain life, that card is usually good enough to win vs burn but it takes up a SB slot and you still need to draw it I guess but it's very good.

For the Thespian's Stage bit, my understanding is that they could have copied Depths with the payment on the stack, made their 20/20, and then the choice of paying life or not would have been on the stack. They obv choose to not pay, and have no punishment for it. Same as if you Crop Rotation with upkeep cost on the stack.

Right, that for sure works. I'm not sure if they copy eg. basic Forest with that on the stack, then do they have to pay 2 life to keep the forest bc the trigger is already in motion? It's the same in-game object so I think they would. In that particular game they were squeezed too tight for it to really matter.

@@BoshNRoll Oh! Whoops! This got lost in the notification sea. But yeah, even if they copy another land they still have to make the choice to either pay or sac the land, regardless of what it's copying when the "Chasm" trigger resolves. As you said, not important in that specific game tho.

I love Legacy Sliver's have the deck in paper half foiled out xD first strike is hillarious I once beat a Hogaak deck by getting enough power on the board to blank all their creatures.

why sliver hive over mutavault or is that not a good option anymore im just curious im building this deck but i just dnt understand the land choice to me mutavault is better because i can get a sliver alot cheaper i understand that hive gives you a mana of any color idk im just torn any thoughts

Hive taps for any color while Mutavault only taps for colorless. You have to support the spells in your 5-color deck before you worry about extra abilities on the lands. Mutavault is much better at being a Sliver than Hive, but it will be a sad lonely sliver when you can't cast spells.

48:30 Play both slivers, keep the 2 spells. You now have lethal and can force price.

That's a tough spot. I would like to deny them another turn, and I'm 1 point short of doing that. I'm at 5 and they have 4 cards in hand plus can get 2 more of Courier, any 2 resolved spells in their deck kill me. Playing the slivers: They have 6 cards to work with, can't attack(not with Courier nor a topdecked haste creature), have to beat 1 counterspell. Not playing the slivers: They have 7 cards to work with, can attack, and have to beat 2 counterspells. Laying it out like that I think you're right that I should have just pushed with the creatures.
