Stephen your amazing I love watching your videos. I taught myself to crochet and knit and knit loom and tunisian crochet I didn't have anyone set down with me to teach me I had family members that crochet and knitted but was to good to teach a little girl. So as I grew up became a Mommy I taught myself and I have taught my daughter and oldest son my daughter caught on my oldest son thinks it's cool he can make a chain an makes a bracelet an he is out it's rough he is left-handed I'm right handed I've tried the videos for him but he is adhd an does set long unless he is messing with consoles an fixing cars an electronic stuff. My middle son was no way in to learning at all we did loop yarn at first an I kept going watching KZread videos to teach myself.

First KAL ever haven’t done a CAL either. I have committed and my youngest daughter will be printing out the pattern while my middle child, a daughter will be picking up my yarn kerbside just 29 klms from me it with this lockdown of 5 klms I can’t risk the AU$1600.00 fine. She has a fashion house business so can do her running around and meanwhile keep her mum in her obsession Yarn 🧶 Don’t drink and don’t smoke so what is a 69 yo girl going to do? Knit and create. Love knitting my sock’s foot whilst watching and listening to you Stephen at 2.38 am In Eltham Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 born in Castricum Noord Holland Nederland migrated here at 7 yoa! I am so jealous of you living in Amsterdam a perfect place to springboard to so many other awesome cities in not only Nederland but all the countries just a few hours away. It's November 2022 and I chose this shawl as my birthday shawl. I want to finish it by December 5 so I can block it and pack it before getting on a plane on the 8th! I did Section 1 according to the written pattern, but after the fun of Twists and Turns, I figured I'd look up the videos and behold! I'm gonna pretend I'm doing another KAL with video clue drops on Saturday unless I finish a section before then 🎉 🙌🏿

Sorry I'm so late to the party, my fall 2020 was rough. 😢. Just have to say love this pattern and watching your tutorials are amazing ❤️

Week 4 began today and I literally just finished week 1 about an hour ago😩 I had made it to the 3rd row of honeycombs and somehow it was working up backwards lol had to frog it completely back to the beginning and start over. Oh well, I guess considering I just learned how to knit 6 weeks ago, I'm doing okay🤷‍♀️I probably won't finish until Christmas but at least I'll have something I'm totally proud to say I made and it's a ❤Stephen West design❤I think that's my favorite part about it!

I wish I could set down and have complete control of the tv for knitting as I did when I learned crochet. I can cast on an I get mad the yarn slips off or it gets to long between the needles than the person on the video

I got this pair of adjustable led lights that hang around my neck and they make it so much easier to see dark colored stitches! “Glocusent LED Neck Reading Light” is how it’s listed on Amazon.
