Oh my god… I figured out why I love you so much. You’re our generation’s Bob Ross… but with knitting instead of painting! 😍🥰❤️ keep it up. We all adore you!

I bought this kit after a 20+ year knitting hiatus. Can't say how glad I am that I discovered this tutorial. Now I can't wait to get the yarn. Stephen is magical. I may have to go to Amsterdam to see their shop.
I love watching Stephen knit. I need him to make ASMR videos of just him knitting and the sounds of the needles clacking. So relaxing!

He has. This is one of them. Just go to his channel and see what playlists he has.
I am so appreciative of your exact way of showing how each technique works. You are enthusiastic and easy/pleasant to follow.
As someone who has never knitted, that beginning is like magic and alchemy. Just watched for the artistry.
I made the same mistake a few times, namely knitting mindlessly right to the end instead of slipping. So I ended up putting a stitch marker at the last/first 3 stitches to remind me to stop knitting. I loved knitting this shawl and it is my favourite one to wear. It’s the only triangle shawl I’d consider knitting again.
You are an amazing educator and designer. I love that you encourage people to relax with the process and make the learning fun. I am working on some handspun that I plan on using for the shawl.
You are such a patient and kind teacher who is always enthused. So happy to find you and your videos ❤
Hi Stephen! As much as I have loved all of your shawls through the years, I have never had the desire to knit one. Nothing was "just right" for me. I can't believe how I missed the Botanic Shawl! It is spot on. Your sample knit in this video is all the colors I would choose as well...or pretty darn close. I knew one day I would knit, wear, and love a Stephen West shawl! Now the fun part, knitting it. Thank you so much for the tutorial. 🤩
You are THE BEST teacher and make your instructions so easy to understand! Thank you so very much!!!😊😊😊
This looks so fun to knit. I will say thank you for the written explanation in the screen. English is not my native language, so understanding and learing all the abriviations can be quite overwhelming - while learning a new technique. This gives me more courage to dive into patterns written in English. Woolly hugs from Denmark ❤
This is the BEST!! Your instructions are so understandable with your friendly voice!! Thank you!!!
This is one of my all time favourite shawls, and definitely the one I wear the most! Mine is huge, I just kept going until I was out of yarn - absolutely a shlanket. Planning another soon…. Such a great pattern!

I like big shawls, I wrap them 2 or 3 3 times around my neck when the weather is really cold and it keeps my shoulders warm too.

I really love it ,you are a great ticher and you passion is contagious love it
I love everything you do ❤️ ❤️
Awesome tutorial. I enjoyed watching you make this shawl so much. Now I'm ready to pull my needles out.
Really like your tutorials, I have learned a lot from then (just by watching/listening). Because you explain things very easy and you show where you are by giving it an other color (in your newer video's) that also helpt learning to "read" patterns
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I saw that it was available when reading someone's project notes. I wish that the tutorial was mentioned in the pattern notes or on the Ravelry pattern page. It really helped me!! Thanks again.
I made it, its awesome, and its BIG, and cozy :D
❤❤❤❤love this!!!! I try knitting my Botanic shawl! Thank you!!!! Beautiful designer✨🫶
Yes i will try to make this one. Its gorgeous. Also the yarn color is so pretty! Hope i can find it and its in budget 😂. Thanks!!
About two weeks ago I bought this pattern and gathered my yarn, which will look great when I make it. I did start it, but decided that yarn was a little too subtlety shaded and a bit too fuzzy to easily see my stitches. So since then I have started and restarted 6-8 times. I finally Got It today! Yay!!!!! So far I love it. Lessons learned... Swatch . Swatch for gauge and how it will wash and block, of course, but also to test out the pattern! ( duh ). But I have even rows, and no stress. I think I am going to have some color play fun.
I am new to knitting, so I am struggling with the Icord start. With practice, practice, practice I should become proficient. Thank you for the excellent tutorial.
I'm a new entry! You're fantastic! Thank you very much! Hugs from Italy 🇮🇹🤩💖🥰😘 Rita
Just wondering how he got the gradient with 2 cakes of the Bilum as there is no repeat in the gradient. Also want to know where to get the yarn as it is sold out when you click on the link.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It´s very clear & easy to follow.

Yea a man knitter and your creative I like that.
Awesome sound effects!
Saved and downloaded 😁! I'm currently following your boneyard shawl tutorial. It has been keeping me busy during quarantine! This is my first knit triangle shawl and I'm in love with how it's turning out😊. I am starting to get a bit bored by the endless stockinette though, so I better cast off quick before I get tired of knitting altogether😂

Either works .I use cast off also..I'm working on the boneyard xhawl also but to not be bored I'm doing drop stitches when you get to the 11th row...that's one of the reasons I love Stephen's patterns they are so customizable..enjoy your project

@@sueholubeshen9960 Ah okay! I better look up what drop stitches are now. I'm not at the level where I can just change patterns if I want, but I hope to get there someday!

I'm also knitting the Boneyard Shawl these days. I'm on the 12th repeat, so almost done. I love Stephen West's newly revised Boneyard Shawl pattern as of 2020. Just a couple of minor changes, but now with lots more information and answers to anticipated questions. I started my Boneyard shawl using his original pattern, but have had no problems using the revised one.
Thank you for this explications tutoriel !
good job, good explanation, thanks👏👏👏
Thank you for your video. Great help
I love you!!!
Sehr gut erklärt.!
👍♥️♥️♥️Thank you. From. Canada
Brilliant -🧶🧶
Muy vacanooooo
Lol!!! Stephen , how do you make those tiny stitches without the stitches unraveling? Im laughing so hard because my stitches are all over the place! I just need more practice 🙂. But I will not give up! That shawl is going to be done!
I am really struggling with the pick up three stitches at cast on edge. can you show me how to do that holding the yarn in the right hand please?
Dear Stephen, When I look at this shawl and compare it with the rainbowcake I bought in your shop (what a treat to be there!), it looks like only one "Stephen's rainbowcake" was used. Could you conform? At this moment om about halfwaardetijd, at the dark green. It looks fabulous already! Next will be my 4th (!) Mkal!

What needle size did you use?
What’s the name of the rainbow yarn I can’t find it
It looks like you cast on more than three stitches down the side, I saw you pick up three stitches and then it seems like you did a psso or something like that, can you explain?
Purl bumps kissing each other 😘😘😘
I want the IQ you have Love you and your Art 💗
I think a scarf would be pretty out of boarder stitches
After watching this I will never learn how to knit..way to hard! That yarn is so thin 😳

You could use a bigger yarn you would just do less pattern repeats.
