This is a criminally underrated song. Like a lot of people I found ST recently from their most recent releases (e.g. The Summoning) and wasn’t sure what to expect from their old releases. This is so much “deeper” and emotionally charged than their recent stuff. I’m amazed this one has less than 300k views when it’s such a massive song. This is deserves to be up there with Hypnosis from this record!

Ikr! It's definitely my favorite off this album, there's something so beautiful about it. The lyrics are so well written, the instrumental is just pure eargasm, the vocals are so delicately beautiful. And the SOLO. I don't understand how someone could dislike this masterpiece.

I started with Take Me Back To Eden when it came out and then started looking back. Sleep Token is amazing and this song has become one of my favorites. I've been a little obsessed with it. Honestly, I'm getting the vibe that Sleep Token is one of those bands you can never know what to expect from: it seems like every album will be different and show some kind of evolution in their sound, which I like. They've truly brought something unique and original to the table here. Very few bands try to do that these days.

Think I figured this song out. It really beautiful. this song is about a love that lasts forever or his love that lasts forever because something happened to the other person. The name of the song is telomeres, the thing in the human body that they think is responsible for aging and if manipulated we could never age. In the song, "we go beyond the farthers reaches" Doing whatever you can for love. "the light bends and wraps beneath us" he is literally refering to a black hole that pretty much last forever. "The past the future through death my arm are open" Love spanning all things. IDk i think this song is super beautiful.

@@michirista Telomeres may be the physiological cause of aging. Some theorize by slowing the shortening of telomeres, we could slow down the effects of aging drastically (or entirely). I'd assume you're on point about the longest living life forms existing at these depths. Perhaps the song is about extending one's life through the worship of "Sleep"? Who knows! That's the best part about Sleep Token. So many different meanings both from the lore of the band and real life experiences.

@@metalshell I think this song is about the cyclical nature of life, many of the lirics reference death and rebirth as constant, especially "Let the tides carry you back to me /The past, the future/Through death/My arms are open" and "And I know as you collapse into me /This is the start of something". To me it's a love song dedicated to the universe and life itself and the confort of knowing that even in death, you'll still be a part of it. But it might also be about a relationship and describing sex "Your eyes and your limbs /Are instruments to pick apart/The distance within" and "And I know as you collapse into me /This is the start of something". Maybe both.

Another song that has made me feel things I never knew a song could 😂🫶🏻 Emotionally this band breaks me with every lyric. It’s been a long time that I actually sat down and listened to music this much and their albums have been on constant repeat for 4 days now. I’m still not done, I’m not sure I ever will be lol
