Anna McQuillan looks like that prison you can reach by crossing a river or going under a bridge- its near a mans house that has been crushed by a tree.

The fact I went there after leaving Helgen to get the dragon stone for Farengar is just how great Skyrim is, being able to get stuff early for quests before doing them

6:32 always gives me chills. It reminds me of the first time I entered Bleak Falls Barrow (basically the first Nordic Tomb I entered) and it just is somehow nostalgic or something. (just realized it's also what played while I spent 30+ minutes making my character :P)

fallout 4 dungeons comes close in potency of atmos. very different vibe, tho. it's the details/close up spectacle instead of a grand one. The themepark, beaches, silos, sewers, etc. they have vibes like the little zones in Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood questline.

Those of us who remember the days of dungeon crawling fondly find this relaxing. Looking through Dwemer ruins and wondering what i would find. Having hours to play and not worrying about the future. Simpler times

I miss the good old days of playing Skyrim late at night, I want to get back into it, gets me inspired to do it and I just seeing and listening to this ambience. This sounds weird, but listening to these ambience music of Skyrim especially the dungeon ones remind me of a special moment that happened in my life, but sadly it went away. But thanks for makeing this man

I remember when this game came out, I was 9 and this game complimented my imagination so much and the soundtrack was a big part to make this game feel magical in my 9 year old brain, and still to this day, Im an 18 year old college student who still consistently plays this game over and over and still feel engaged and excited as my past 9 year old self once was. I know Bethesda have been getting lots of criticism over the years but holy moly did they make a good game, which will be with me forever.

The first track on this video is called “beneath the ice”, and I love to listen to it on cold winter nights, staring at the countless stars.

OneWhoSetMalicious try looking into Dungeon Synth as well. Lord Lovidicus, Wongraven, Barak Tor, faery Ring, Old Tower, Sequestered Keep etc. Its lower-fi synth fantasy music perfect for RPG tabletops.

The Dungeons of this game are the best i have seen in any video games, the dwarven ruins still blows my mind up until now. Skyrim is a game where there is the normal map, then there is half the size of this map underground.

Damn... This game had so much influence on me and many others. I'll never forget the amount of hours I put into it and I'd start it all over if given the chance. Such a masterpiece, just the music almost brings a tear to my eye.

6:33 gives me nostalgia of the many hours I’ve been stuck in ruins

The music that starts at 20:45, when the tone turns slightly lighter and the leitmotif I've come to associate with the LDB starts playing always inspired me, it's like the game itself tells you that, even in the depths of Skyrim's darkest dungeons, surrounded by hordes of undead and other monsters, you are still the hero, the last hope of Tamriel, and you have to keep moving forward no matter what, because you are the only one who can. It's such a brief little part, but I love it more than anything.

"Silent footsteps" has to be my favorite dungeons soundtrack out of them all.

Death in the Darkness and Beneath the Ice have to be my favorite ones, every time I hear them in the background it literally makes me stop completely and just listen :’) ugh they just feel so magical 🤍

This is literally perfect ambience for my DnD campaign, thank you for making this so much less of a hassle.

Skyrims ambience is unparalleled. Pure love to it's craft. This godly ambience carries the spirit of the North and its people very well. I have found Skyrim very recently, but I am sure I will remember it for years to come.. these unforgettable moments, especially the first time in Bleak Falls Barrow.

Yeah, listened to it maybe a thousand times.

I find it incredibly ironic that ambiance and music most likely meant to convey unease, mystery, or caution while delving deep into dangerous territory can be so relaxing. I think this is mostly due to nostalgia for the late nights I spent playing the game, and the sort of relief you feel after clearing a dungeon.

11:47 is really sad scene. The way he is standing there looking at his own skeleton

Skyrim dungeons are so amazing

This game is always my go to when I want to immerse myself in a realm of solitude and forget about the real world for long sleepless nights/days. Just me and my thoughts/fantasies that this world cannot and will not contaminate.

I can’t imagine listening to this for relaxation or to do “hw”. It ignites ambition and zealous wonder.

One of my favourite parts of Skyrim is exploring dungeons (especially ones with draugrs, dragon priests and word walls).

I remember when I played this for the first time. My friend's brother showed me. This was back in 2011 - I was ten. I bought Skyrim as soon as I got home and have never stopped playing.. it's 2021 and I'm still finding things 😂 I adore this game ♥️

I always feel like I'm "home" when I listen to this...along with the odd itch to adventure and discover. The perfect combination of brain storming and meditative music.

I've been hearing this for 4 years and never get tired of it

In the flickering shadows you could almost see them. In the dark ruins, their scent - decaying and decadent - was still present. There were aged footprints rimed with mud, and something else like wine-dark stains. I found bits of hair and broken bones. Cracked and yellow teeth had been thrown into a cobwebbed corner. I refused to imagine what they did to our people. I would not let my mind go there. I had a mission to finish. I resolved in my heart to see it through regardless of whether I lived or died. What they did to us was a sin. What I would do to them was revenge. I asked God for mercy on my soul. Then I crept into the black cavern yawning open before me.

Nordic Ruin + Silence Unbroken is absolutely my fav combo. It literally scared the shit out of me and was afraid to make even a step forward in the first ruin I heard it.

This helps with writing my story thanks

This is so magical. I'm working and listening, but I keep coming back to the screen to see what image is matching the different music and atmospheric sounds.

In skyrim here is where you will find these soundtracks more often. In forts and dwemer ruins you will most likely here the tracks Shattered shields and towers and shadows. In caves you will hear the tracks beneath the ice, Shadows and echoes, and death in the darkness. In ancient nordic tombs you will likely hear the tracks silent footsteps, Silence unbroken, and into darkness.
