Something about the music of Skyrim, Secunda especially, transports me to this wonderful space of peace, calm, happiness, and adventure, and a feeling of being so connected with something. Along with that comes a feeling of deep nostalgia, a bit of sadness, almost as if I am missing a place that feels like home. To miss the great hall of Dragons Reach, the warm fire lit glow of the Inns and taverns, the birch filled autumn forests of riften, the babbling brooks and rivers of Solitude, the cold and howling winds of the Throat of the world, the eerie, hauntingly beautiful glow of black reach. Moonlit nights under the aurora and stars. All of it feels like a place I dearly miss, yet alas, it is not real. What an odd feeling to miss a place that has never existed and I can never truly visit, yet what joy that I have experienced the encompassing beauty of such a place. This game means so much to me, it has gotten me through some of my darkest days of anxiety and depression and I am very thankful. Thank you for this video, it calms and soothes me to let me fall asleep soundly. Well met traveller.

Never played this game but I understand :s I still play WoW occasionally and it used to be a nice way to escape and feel less lonely, but now I simply tend to listen to the beautiful music of such games to try to stay sane, empty my mind and fall asleep... Well, we don't need only another world to escape our own, we need more logic and compassion in this one, and to love it like it's our only one; cause it is. Fantasy is great and all but it's not enough imo (tbh I can hardly enjoy it, again, and this time it's probably permanent because I can't stop thinking about the real world). Our world is FUBAR at this point but if we unite there is still some hope. Too bad it's not really happening yet... most ppl don't care at all.... p.s. Agreed, falling asleep to ambient music is one of the very few things that remain great when your mind is beyond troubled/exhausted. This channel is kind of saving my life atm.

I'm fairly certain this quote was never in the original books, but was actually just added into Bilbo's opening monologue (itself a greatly condensed paraphrasing of the first book's prologue, which was spoken to us by the book's narrator, not Bilbo) for the film. In which case you'd want to attribute it to Peter Jackson, rather than Tolkien.

This game, it just means so much to me. It’s like my home, my one quiet place that I can spend hours on hours doing quests, defeating dragons, and admiring the wonderful beauty of the nature around me whilst I’m out exploring. Whenever I think of Skyrim, it makes me feel at peace. Whenever i play Skyrim, it makes me feel at peace. This is a place I’ve lived in but will never be able to visit. This has been my escape, my aesthetic. All of the many different quests make it so unique, so life like. All the different things you can explore and find, all the little easter eggs that make you want to find more, and then seeing that you’ve spent hours and hours, even though it’s felt like minutes. There’s just something odd about this game, something no one can figure out. It just feels right. You just get lost in this game. You get sucked in the screen. Getting lost in the woods, exploring new lands, admiring the beauty of all the small details in this land. You don’t understand why it make you feel happy, you just let it happen. I’m really trying my hardest to put all of my thoughts on this game, but if I did this would go on for miles. Take a few hours in Skyrim to just look around. No quests. No fast traveling. Just go off of the trail. See all the things that are eating to be seen. Safe travels, friend.

This game will always hold such a special place in my heart, and has brought me so much joy throughout my childhood... I remember watching my mom play it when I was little, I remember her always making me close my eyes during the Helgen execution scene, I remember cheering her on as she fought dragons, and when the day came that I was finally old enough to play it myself, you have NO idea how excited I was! Even if my mom wasn't there, I still remember closing my eyes whenever I would play through the Helgen scene until I felt I was “old enough” to handle it. I remember always asking my mom to do the tough battles and quests for me when I was stuck. I'm almost 15 now, so Skyrim is one of the games I spent most of my childhood playing. She doesn't play it often anymore and is a lot busier now, but sometimes she'll walk into my room as I'm playing it and I'll bring up those memories, and the times we would spend talking about it and playing it together... I don't think I'll ever stop playing it. Skyrim always has and always will be one of my favorite games of all time.
This is the world I escaped to while dealing with the death of my father. Every night this world would give me four to eight hours of something other than that . The music still brings me back.....
This game is so deeply ingrained into my heart and mind I seem to relate everything with skyrim. Sometimes I’ll look around and think: that looks a whole lot like that one place. And then take a good look around just to be sure
Man this is great, your 'Night' video was always my favourite and now I have Night 2.0. Also about you using Secunda 3 times...definitely the right choice!
Studying for my Personal Trainer certification and of everything I've found to drown out the background and help me focus, skyrim ambient videos have helped the most. Seriously such a good ambient soundtrack.
I have never played Elder Scrolls .. but Ive always listened to its music .. beautiful .. Jeremy Soule is a genius
My infant sons been listening to this since I brought him home💙 he cant sleep without it! I cant wait to sit down and play all the Elder Scrolls with him
I've just had the most wonderful journalling session to this, up until 25:49. Sipped on black coffee, about to head out for my run. It's around 7am, the sun starts to rise, I see it from my window, I will now leave the room. I haven't done this in a while, it used to be a necessary practice to me, in other times. Now are different times. Thank you for this, it's wonderful.
I personally love the sound and visuals of rain. Let it be real life or virtually in a game, it calms me and I always sleep better on rainy nights. Combined with the night soundtrack of Skyrim I feel like I just found my dream music, it's calming and I forget about my problems and anxiety. Thanks for making this and all the other Skyrim soundtracks. I'm sad I haven't found your channel sooner ^^

and not only the effects and music of the rain but also all the sounds even during the battle
This game has a certain way it pulls you in like a fish stuck on a fishing rod. The mountains are so majestic yet they hold the most fearsome of foes. There was a path I was walking when i saw beautiful autumn leaves over the huge snowy mountain. For a game to do that so well and so long ago it is phenomenal. I first thing i noticed is the music in this game. The music felt like it could make you fall asleep faster than hypnotism could but also has a powerful, nordic feel behind it. All the Elder Scroll games are great but in my opinion this is by far the greatest one.

Literally an hour of just Secunda would be absolutely perfect
Kyne's Peace calms me down so much. Amazing piece of music.
Secunda is my favorite too. Everness, THANKS, these videos are pure gold. I'm sure they took *a lot* of effort, but many people appreciate it.
Nothing can top how peaceful skyrims music is
It’s crazy that just a music can transport me in another world 🥺 this game is so precious to me
The fact that Secunda plays 3 times shows how mystical it is.
These videos transport me to my dads den playing at 3-4 in the morning with nothing but the click of the mouse and a turtle tank filter while I finished a random radiant quest in complete darkness during my first two years of high school. nothing quite like those times
Falling asleep to my childhood is all I need
You just woke up, stood up and went on your balcony. The creeking of the stairs leading up to the door give you already a feeling about how much adventure your going to experience. Steps before the door you can already smell the fresh air of the mountains. Dwarven horns raining slowly down from the mountains letting you embrace the very moment and showing you how beautiful every single piece is. You can hear the Blacksmith already hammering swords and melting armors. The Rain slowly dropping on the stones on the pathway below you, Children wandering around playing. You take another deep breath, you take a clear look. You see whiterun in the distance with its majestic walls slung around it with all the little farms placed in the surrounding. You feel the power of the gods flow through you, pushing yourself to do your best as always. You hear wolves howling and guards roaming around.
There are a few things that are amazing to me about this sound track. 1: Not a single one of these comments has a dislike 2: My English instructor plays this in the background as ambience during class and no one but me recognizes it 3: The nostalgia I feel course through me as I hear the first few notes of Secunda and From Past to Present, will never not bring me joy as I am thrown back into being a 9yr/old booting up my old, piece-of-junk Xbox 360 as happy as can be knowing I finally, truthfully, feel at home.

This brings back so many memories of playing at 4 AM, survival mode on and I was tired, hungry and cold. I would be on my horse, going down to tundra homestead (creation club). I would get home and my children would be waiting for me and then I would go inside and see my husband. God, thank you so much for this.
This game is really a masterpiece.... What a game and what at soundtrack!!!!
Havn't played in years but best believe I'm getting back on today after hearing this

Is it that good? i haven't had the opportunity to put a VR headset, it looks so cool
There’s just something about this music and game that’s forever captivated me. I can’t explain it. I would kill to live in Skyrim. Go out and quest and stop by at taverns meeting all kinds of cool people.
Sometimes I wish I could remove all those Skyrim memories in my head and to play it again and again and again..

This I’d exactly how I feel about World of Warcraft. Never played Skyrim, but the memories of Warcraft were some of the best ever. I’d love to relive it from the very first time I loaded it up…

@@adgrimes1981 I feel you man, I actually disliked Skyrim at first, i had it in my Steam library for 3-4 years and I didn't even know why I bought it, but last year I was just bored and I was searching my library to see my games and I saw Skyrim and I said to myself I will give it a try (I never even installed it but i've watched few short clips on YT before it) and ever since I am so into it. I tried WoW many years ago but I was too dumb for it I guess, maybe cause my English then was shit I didn't understand the game.
Skyrim is actually the 1st game I’d really call Home. Skyrim will live on forever ❤️
This is way more therapeutic than those meditation videos

Time flies... "Drem. Patience. I am answering, in my way." This is what time is doing to us.
Man this brings back memories of simpler times
Skyrim is my most favorite game because it lets me travel into a whole new world, and immersing myself to the grandiose of it. But due to busy schedules and exams in my college, I kinda missed playing it. So, thanks for this playlist, it's my refuge.
I can hear my character's breathing and boots hitting the ground as I spring across Skyrim when I listen to this
Me n my first love always listened to this to go to sleep. Man how those days seem like early today. I miss em.
places like this exist in real world. imagine having a wooden cabin or house in forest, fireplace, mountains around. Thats why people move to places like this, they are magical.
It is 7 and 20 minutes (no hyperlink, yay) on january 19th, 2019. Its dark, night, and rainy. Its a saturday night, and everybody just wants to chill. No parties, no loud music. Just sit, listen to the rain, enjoy the silence of man and the noise of the sky. Ive chosen to add some good, fitting music for myself, after listening for a while, and here i am. Beautiful
if only skyrim was bigger, greater and 'deeper'... I'd never stop playing it.

@@jordanhartmann1745 I agree! Even if you don't like MMORPGs, ESO can still be very fun to play, especially if you're the explorer-type. Just gotta make sure to buy it during a steamsale or something.

First character I made was this 🐱 lol but then when I got attacked by bandits they'd say " you'll make for a fine fur coat cat" I only did this because I'd fit in with the other ones who sold and made drugs
27:30 to 28:10 is so wonderful
I have my parents to thank for buying me this game when I was young and blessing me with hours upon hours of fun. Even today, I can still sink in 50, even 100 more hours all over again and not be bored. Skyrim truly is a timeless gem.

I hope Bethesda use some of these songs in TES 6
I am writing my thesis while listening to this, and some other Skyrim music ambience, on repeat. It realy helps to focus and get in a right state of mind. There is something calming in Soule's music. It is so simple, almost minimalistic - two instruments playing simultaniousely, but so elegant. And the rain with cicadas add so much to the atmosphere. Great mix!
This makes me want to play skyrim allover again!
Since I discovered your channel I've been playing your videos 24/7. Its just magic, and I love the way you do the video while audio sounds, having 2 screens an having the video on one of them while I do stuff its perfect. Ty so much.
My god this is so incredible! I used to sit in the mountains in Skyrim with this beautiful music and just take it all in.

Ray-Ray bro, absolutely my favorite of the songs. The amount of time i have spent hearing this song and that part, the best of this song. Absolutely whole heartedly agree with you
Just listening makes me so sad and nostalgic. I love this game and everything within it and It saddens me to think that Bethesda might never make a game that even comes close to this, not because this game is hard to top, but simply because they’ve changed so much as a company and sadly, not in a good way either. I hope I’m wrong and the next ES game is just as good or even better but damn, i just hope we get something beautiful again. This game was fantastic, I wish I could play this game for the first time over and over again.
Jeremy Soule is something else. Sticks you right in the heart every time Thanks so much for this video and your channel
Ahhh... back then... just me and my ps4, playing skyrim 24/7 and everytime i heard that song😫 its just so nostalgic... i love it!
Kyne's peace is so good , every time I listen to it , it's like a flashback of the entire Skyrim plot , starting from escaping Helgen , to the betrayal of the dark brotherhood , the battle of Imperials and Stormcloaks and the death of Alduin ofcourse. Its amazing how music can make you go back to certain memories and help you relive it.
