I was going through a dark time in my life when BG3 released. It gave me the time to heal and get myself back up and on my feet again, I'm much better than where I was back then. Thank you Larian for an amazing experience.

Game has been out for less than a year and already I get nostalgia from this music. Hours and hours spent exploring and soaking in the detail and the atmosphere, crafting a journey that was so well written and yet fully my own. Amazing game, deserving of its accolades. D&D in your computer.

For some reason "Down by the River (Instrumental)" in character creation gave me nostalgic vibes, though I just started the game for the first time. Never played any Baldur's Gate, Larian title nor had any connection with D&D before. It gave me anticipating joy like a kid who waited the entire day in school to finally play.

@@shogun3730 I mean more in the sense that the game is not just a soulless husk being pumped out for a quick buck. Whoever at the top clearly loved this game just as much as the programmers and other people making it did. Doesn't seem to be the case with many other AAA studios.

The song I Want To Live , ah, ohhhhhh...I just realized this was the piece of music I recorded from another source for Baldur's Gate 3! Now I see what all the fuss is about it. 😅 😊👍👍👍 Still, I can hardly wait to play this game and redeem Astarion in Baldur's Gate...or try to at least. I don't know how a paladin elf will pull that off. Lol, we'll see. I'm hopeful , at least. Y'all those gameplay walkthroughs really help , even though I haven't played it myself, yet. Video game like i like them, a piece of cake, not expensive fast food. Remind me of an intervew of a game creator who answered at the question if there will be a new game: i've a lot of story to tell.

I have to say I suck at this game. And I haven't turned it on for half a year because of this. But "I Want To Live" haunts my mind, I think about it more often than the Roman Empire. But I still have so many games to play that I don't suck at, I don't know when I'll come back to Baldur's Gate...

@@Pharysz What's funny is the fact that my buddy asks if I had fun with kotor, and I said yes. He gifted me the game right after that response and far I've been inclined to say that it was somewhat inspired despite the inspiration being d&d or maybe kotor was inspired by d&d. Never played d&d and since baldurs gate is the closest I will get to it. I will say I never expected it to be fun. I'm one for creativity and replayability, which the game has and encourages. As a music lover too, I think the game has its good taste in music.

@@Clone_of_Darth_Revan Have to be honest, I've never played kotor myself, but I heard nothing but praise for this game. I heard some of the music though and it really is something special in that department :) Maybe you're heavy into roleplaying and a good story which both games have plenty of. I'm reading th first book of the Darth Bane trilogy right now and maybe I'll try out kotor in the future. There was a rumoured remaster, but I think they axed it

@@Pharysz You'll love kotor 1 and 2. It takes a little while to get used to the combat and understanding the abilities. Best part is you can weld blasters and still use the force. I won't spoil the story which they put together well. My advice though if you get them is explore the entirety of the maps and complete every side quest.

What's the game like? Is it fun or is it annoying due time mechanics?

Do you mean the round based combat? I really like it. But I also enjoyed Divinity Original Sin 2, Larians game before Baldur's Gate 3. Maybe watch a bit of gameplay and decide for yourself :) All other aspects are also top notch. Graphics, worldbuilding, story, characters and the voice acting, oh damn the voice acting, it's so good.

Solid fun, plenty to explore if you choose or to chase the story quickly if you prefer. Combats that feel too long have been pretty rare for me so far, and that mostly seems depends on how many NPCs are involved, how the party spaced across initiative, and computer performance.

BG3 has the greenest OST ever. Reuse, reduce, recycle.

This music reminds me of someone I betrayed and I don’t know what to do with myself. This was his favorite game and I can’t hardly play it anymore because of the kind of person I am. I want to be better, but im so depressed and I don’t know how.
