i don’t know if it’s just the editing but it feels like the game is subtly validating your reading of vyrsa, aika and fina being a lesbian polycule and i love it. i think there needs to be a jrpg where the main character actually becomes a girl halfway through because that’s just peak jrpg character development

It's thanks to the big ships presented on the text (Vyka and Vyna) having pretty much no opposition between each other because Aika and Fina have enough subtext that they're just as big as the ships with Vyce, so the natural conclusion is that they're all a throuple.

Wish granted, but it's a representation based in reality, where 99.99% of these relationships are more than likely an attempt to save a dead relationship, the person whose idea it was is almost definitely manipulative and abusive, and everyone ends up angry and miserable, before an inevitable and hideous breakup happens. I have the critique of the card being punched before the deadnamer knew she were trans, and therefore unbeknownst of the correct name. But, I’m just a cist male teenager, so feel free to lecture me.

This video has ruined me. The way they treat Vyrsa with so much respect and how accurately they depict the process of learning one's transness simultaneously warms my heart and makes me so upset since this is neither the situation in my own life (even though I have friends and family who at least try to respect and understand me) and moreso in other people's lives. Usually, it's considered bad manners to "crack" an egg (or tell someone who you believe is an egg that they might be trans), mostly because you can never know for sure (although some aggressively expensive brain scans have cracked eggs before by finding the brain operates in a pattern more correlated with the other gender, it's ill-advised to send every single person to get brain scanned) so it's best advised to wait until they figure it out. "Hatching" an egg is when they do, in fact, figure it out for themselves and start the process of transition. Of course, a much rarer term is "unhatching the egg", which is a lot closer to, but isn't quite, being closeted is for the sexuality-based subsections of the LGBTQ+ community; instead of just not telling people about it, the person involved goes aggressively into denial and self-destructive tendencies, having pieced together their trans tendencies and just decided they'd rather try to bury that revelation than actually help themselves be more comfortable in their own bodies.

32:58-34:00 is genuinely _so_ sweet. Like, the voice acting here is top-notch and the fact that this whole scene is played completely seriously really sells the story y’all were going for here. I’m really rooting for these three girls to figure everything out together. Wonderfully done.

I love the ways different peoples’ eggs crack. Some are slow and methodical like a baby chick slowing coming into a new world. And then there are people like me who put our eggs into a microwave and watched it explode.

The devs knew exactly what they were doing with Fina and Aika. There's no way they didn't.

After playing this game for years all of this is Canon now. Vyse. The southern accents. Them cheeks. 12/10
