SKEGNESS | Full tour of Skegness Town Centre and Seafront
SKEGNESS | Full tour of Skegness Town Centre and Seafront including Skegness Beach, the amusements, pleasure beach and lots more. Come with me as we explore this famous seaside holiday town on the Lincolnshire coast
Skegness, a jewel nestled on England's east coast, has long been a magnet for families, couples, and friends seeking classic British seaside charm. The golden sands of Skegness Beach are the undeniable star attraction. Here, time melts away as you build sandcastles with your loved ones, feel the refreshing spray of the waves, or simply unwind under the warm sun. Traditional seaside delights like donkey rides and candy floss stalls line the beach, along with lively amusement arcades, creating a nostalgic and vibrant atmosphere that transports you back to your childhood summers.
Extending its arms out to sea, Skegness Pier offers another layer of entertainment. Family-friendly rides cater to all ages, from the thrill-seeker's adrenaline rush to the gentler pleasures of a carousel ride. Grab a bite at one of the cafes lining the pier, or challenge your friends and family to a round of classic arcade games. A leisurely stroll to the pier's end unveils breathtaking panoramic vistas of the coastline, the perfect opportunity to capture memories that will last a lifetime.
For those seeking an adrenaline rush, Fantasy Island, a short distance from Skegness, boasts a thrilling array of rides and attractions. From heart-pounding rollercoasters that send shivers down your spine to exhilarating water rides that cool you down on a hot summer's day, Fantasy Island guarantees a day filled with laughter and excitement. Younger visitors will delight in the gentler carousels and designated play areas, ensuring a fun-filled experience for the whole family.
If you're looking to learn more about the fascinating creatures of the sea, Natureland Seal Sanctuary is a must-visit. This sanctuary provides a safe haven for rescued and orphaned seals, sea lions, and other marine animals. Witness the adorable seal pups being fed, observe them gliding gracefully through the pools, or even participate in a feeding session (for an extra fee) and create a truly unforgettable encounter.
But Skegness isn't all about sun, sand, and thrills. If you're looking for a vibrant evening experience, the historic Embassy Theatre offers a captivating program of shows and performances throughout the year. This grand venue has hosted everything from captivating musicals and thought-provoking plays to side-splitting comedy acts and energetic concerts. So whether you're a theater buff or simply seeking a night of quality entertainment, the Embassy Theatre has something to keep you enthralled.
Skegness caters to a variety of interests, offering a relaxing beach escape for those seeking tranquility, an action-packed family holiday filled with laughter and adventure, or a night of captivating entertainment. So, pack your bags, gather your loved ones, and discover the magic of this delightful seaside town!

Another good video. The town will pick up again from next week. I am staying at the end of this month, going to a concert at the theatre ! I love the town xx

Seems too be much bigger than when I used too. Cycle there from the midlands.. good old skegy long may it reign.
I don't think about the place. I have never been to Skegness before. Thank you for showing the video!
My first holiday without my parents was to Skeg 50 years ago, 3 of us stayed in a boarding house, I think it was about £15 for the week half board. Not licenced but they sold cans of Worthington E I think it was, happy times with lots of laughs.
That’s made me feel quite sad to see everywhere shut and so quiet ! I hope it picks up when we go at the end of the month. Love your videos. They do normally get me excited for my holiday 😂

Really enjoying your videos. Our family left England in 1981. Watching you stroll through "Skeggy" and Ingoldmells take me back to the days of my youth. I'm not sure when you made this video, but you kept mentioning it was quiet. These days schools don't finish for the summer holidays until this around the middle of July. Whereas years ago seaside resorts were busy from the end of June until September. Changing the holidays back would arguably help seaside resorts and attractions and, thus, the economy.

Not really, don’t know about other counties but in Lancashire we use to have ‘ wakes weeks’ . Bolton ,Wigan would have first two weeks of July, Chorley ,Preston last two weeks. Blackpool would be packed those weeks because it was Scotlands holidays too. Schools of course are on holiday from July till the first week of September.
You've been a busy boy. I'm guessing you'll pop up at Lowestoft or Southwold next.
Were you filming during the England v Switzerland UEFA match on Saturday? Maybe everyone was watching at the pubs.

Oh my what a headline that was!
It’s certainly quiet. I know my niece isn’t going there anymore with her children since the seafront hotels were taken by ‘the government’. I know from other social media sites that has put a lot of people off going to Skeggy and it’s such a shame.

@@GimbalWalkTV The bulk of this was last year on Twitter etc when the front hotels were being used. Apparently there are lists going around on boycotted hotels, Ive seen on but not others. There was a big thing about praising the hoteliers who weren’t joining in, and talk about how many businesses would be affected by people not going. I just assumed with it being so quiet it was still affecting Skegness.
Great videos, I have watched all the UK ones. Sad to see this video shows quiet times but there are a few reasons I can see, which are not good for me. IMHO, too many closed businesses creates a bad look and far too many americanised businesses...its the UK!!

Looks like a typical seaside resort ⛵. Nothing wrong with that. It wasn't very busy and I found that quite depressing but Skeggy and others like it are what they are. If you don't like no nonsense seaside resorts, don't go. 🤷
