My favorite Saturday program to travel with the channel. About the video nothing I can say will do justice to this excellent work.

I have been watching this “walk” for over 3 hours and I am really enjoying it. Is it just me or is it more crowded in Rome than even pre-pandemic? Thanks for braving the crowds and bringing this home to me. Every time my husband walks into the room, his comment: “You are on vacation!” I look forward to your summer walks 2023…for me, your summer walks are my favorites. Thanks again.

Thank you so much :) if it was up to me you would be doing non stop Italy but hope you do some Museum tours in Italy as well. My big goal in life at the moment is saving up for a one month stay in Rome to visit as many museums and classical historical sites as possible. And at least a few walks up and down the via Appia :)

We are staying for 5 nights in Rome as part of a 3 week Italy trip this fall. It will be amazing. Those 5 days will be very busy, including one full guided tour day of the Colosseum and the Forum with a private guide. No big tour group for us, having to wear wireless earbuds and being herded around. One guide, two of us. It will be amazing.

If you are really interested in visiting museums and art galleries for a month, I could advice you some less-known and non touristic places to visit in Rome.

Yeah, it makes for a pretty good general tour of Rome. I have another tour of Rome that I never posted...because it turned out to be over 7 hours. :) Maybe I'll post it in parts sometime.

@@kensellar hi ken.we went to Rome for five nights last August it was incredibly hot.stayed at the Roma Centro Colloseo, a beautiful hotel 250 metres from the Colloseum,with a view of it and a rooftop pool!!! It was a stunning place to stay,but yes expensive. We did all The usual suspect visits, Vatican museum Castel st Angelo etc. We used Prowalks previous video walk but reversed the direction and did it at night for the more comfortable temperature and to see the night lights.Started at pont st Angelo on the tiber and finishing at the Trevi fountain, much less crowded at night and very pretty.Ate quite a bit at Trastevere and just off, NOT ON Piazza navona. Hope this is some help, happy travels!

Hey Rik, good to hear from you. So, I am living in WA now. We moved back at the end of last summer so the kiddos could spend more time with family. I did buy a new camera and lens, but this Rome walk was filmed with a Gopro like always. :) I'll be filming some new Italy walks next month and going to NYC next week. Ciao. Alla prossima -Isaac

Amo tudo o que vcs me traz em de lindo desse mundo !!!! Mas nesse conteúdo de Roma senti a falta de mais detalhes.....por exemplo, o que foi no passado o Pantheon, a história dessas ruínas maravilhosas. Amei o Coliseu, mas esperava ver um pouco mais de perto e saber realmente a história original dele. Vi riqueza de detalhes subscritas com respeito à história da Cidade. Roma tem uma maravilhosa história e não li nada disso. Mas Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi e Atranti me encantaram pela riqueza de imagens e informações detalhadas de cada pedacinho, da muralha... Vcs são ótimos e eu sou apaixonada por esse trabalho maravilhoso de vcs !!!!! Obrigada por momentos tão deliciosos !!!!!

Oye, gracias por ver el recorrido completo. Tengo varios tours por Roma en mi canal. Algunos son recorridos en bicicleta. Todavía tengo una caminata más por Roma aún más larga para publicar. Mi primer paseo por Roma es el más completo.

What was the fascination with Egyptian obelisks?

Those Obelisks you find in Rome were bringed there by the romans after Egypt became a part of the Empire. Obelisks were an exoctic prey, a symbol of the roman preminance in the western world. Back then Egypt was one of the more richest and cultured region in the world, so for romans Obelisks were prestigious pieces to show off. In Rome you find a handful of this kind of prey from all around the ancient world (exept from those regions that produced nothing relevant as britannia or germania)
