Sir Kenneth Branagh is an actor, director, producer and screenwriter. He is well known for having both directed and starred in several film adaptations of William Shakespeare's plays, including Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, Othello and Hamlet.
Rob Brydon is best known for his work on The Trip, Gavin & Stacey and presenting the BBC One comedy panel show Would I Lie To You?

    Fantastic. My sister who is a trained actress met Kenneth Branagh and said he is the sweetest most down to earth guy, devoid of any airs and graces, totally humble and chatty...just as he is here...she liked him immesnsely. Two good guys here...no question.

    @@beniteztheconman I thought it was great. I imagine it's a tough job, with such limited locations. Or maybe it's easier, im not a filmmaker so I don't know. I think he was was very good as poirot ; Albert finney was amazing however. Many hate his performance, I'm aware.

    Kenneth Branagh has done more for Shakespeare than any other living person. He took the intimidation factor out of it for me when I was 12 and saw his version of Othello on the movie screen. I was blown away

    I can’t imagine how you can come to that conclusion about a person that you’ve never met or spent any time with. My knowledge of him is limited to the film industry. And in that area I believe he’s a genius. It seems some people can’t get their head out of politics Long enough to just enjoy life.

    @@Hannah-pk6iq you got that right Karen, I do not know him on a personal level and have made that clear. I am commenting “only” on his body of work, which is publicly available. So therefore my comment does NOT negate itself. YOU however, Have come to the conclusion that you don’t like the guy on a personal level, and I repeat, you have never met him. Its telling when people can claim to dislike someone they have never met and haven’t had any meaningful conversation with.

    Pure enjoyment! These are not really interviews, just friends chatting, and catching up. There are no nerves, or hesitant moments, which make them easy to listen too. Also liking the mustard trousers with the amazing blue shirt Rob, nice combination!

    Absolutely brilliant! I was lucky enough to see The Painkiller in Belfast with both of them, around 3 or 4 times in a row in a couple of days at the end of the run. They were fantastic and made all the audience laugh like crazy! About that last story about Ivanov, that didn't happen when I saw it, haha!

    Wonderful Kenneth Branagh -- I so enjoyed this! As an actor myself, it's fabulous to hear actors talking about the craft, especially when all our theatres and pubs are closed, so there's no gathering at the pub afterwards to discuss everything that went wrong in the show. I was wondering which farce they were talking about, and will have to look it up. Honestly, I don't know how I'm going to live without "ROB BRYDON" if this comes to an end at the end of COVID! Please don't let it come to an end...

    I know most wax lyrical about his Shakespeare but for me his absolute best work was in wallander. Yes it was well received but not sure his actual acting in that was given the recognition it deserved.

    Branagh was filming in Merthyr- maybe 98. The theory of flight, very good film. He filmed some scenes in Cyfartha park. Thing is, I was playing tennis in the background (never spoke to crew). So is that me playing tennis, or is that me playing a character who is playing tennis in the world if the film. So, did I cease to exist whist filmed and become a chsracter? And can I now create a character name retrospectively?

    I was there that day. Sitting on the benches in the terrace. He walked past me and smiled. I was not expecting the man to be there. I had seen him and Emma Thompson in look back in anger at the lyric theatre in about 87 or 88. Both brilliant. They got married the day after. By this point he was Helena BC. Who also walked past me that day. Almost fell of my bench. The Theory of Flight. Rubbish film but what a day that was at my old school taking in the sunshine. June 1998 I think.
