Excellent except for one thing - the background 'music' is extremely distracting and make it difficult to hear what the presenter is saying.

Excellently done! She only speaks what needs to be spoken, thus allowing the learner to really process information. Music is relaxing and unobtrusive. Someone really knows how to teach a process-driven skill!.

I just got my 24 inch Ashford RHL and I am so excited. Earlier in the year, I bought a used RHL (not an Ashford) to see if I really liked weaving. I did but I had issues with the other loom. I have been saving up and finally dove into the deep end and made my purchase! I love the side rollers! So much better than my vintage Beka.

Thankyou for demonstrating this. I have first started just making a mug rug using a handmade cardboard loom. Then I remembered I had a knitting loom that doubled as a frame loom or tapestry loom. As a child I had a toy heddle loom that I really enjoyed making little things with. I think I would very much like to have a heddle loom. my husband will have his teaching certificate by September and already has a position available so I’m looking forward to purchasing one then. But I’m having fun learning on the 28” tapestry loom at the moment. I have the bug for sure

Loved this video. You mentioned you "might need a friend to help" when you wind the warp (to keep decent tension on the warp when you wind) This is one of the biggest challenges in the process; keeping the tension right without asking someone to help. I searched the Internet for a solution to this issue, but never found anything. So, I came up with the "Solo Warper" and my partner built it for me. Now I have no issues with winding. Works perfectly on any warp length. Instead of using a warping peg that attaches to a table (and can slip off at the worst times possible,) you simply place the Solo where you want the warp to end, (no table or clamps needed,) loop the warp ends on the main peg, secure it with a cross dowel when you're finished and then start winding. The Solo has wheel brakes that you can adjust, to keep the right tension on regular floors or carpet. Wind until the main dowel touches the outside of the loom (which is the perfect length to leave for threading), cut the yarn and then thread the heddles. Winding the warp took a fraction of the time with perfect tension and, more importantly, no 'yarn accidents that take hours to untangle.' Finally, a solution for solo weavers.....

Hi, Yes there are many dealers in the USA. Please go to the link in the description to locate your local Ashford dealer. Regarding the length of warp you can put on - this depends on the type of yarn you are using and also what you are using to separate your warp. As a guide we say you can get 4.5m warp of double knit yarn on comfortably. Thanks for watching and I am sure you will enjoy weaving!

thank you for a demo of weaving. The set up time is the longest component of the weaving. That's why handloom weavers find it difficult to complete with machine looms manufacture. They live in poverty.
