He should stay with Ipswich. They are a team going places

Kieran didn't drop into L1 lightly, and Ipswich is a big 'project' and so far he has got a new pitch installed, costing almost £3M, and currently we are upgrading the training facilities, another multi million pounds project. He is very much on the ball, and realises the influence he has at Ipswich, is very rare these days, and for me, will only leave for the Spurs or Man Utd jobs. By the way, over his first hundred league games, he has got more points than any other manager in the top four leagues in England. So, as an Ipswich supporter we are just smiling at people writing Ipswich and Mc Kenna off. We are a bigger club than Crystal Palace and are selling out all our home games and away allocation every game. Make no mistake, we are going places, so is Mc Kenna

Ipswich are a far better long term bet than Crystal Palace.

Ipswich is a long-term project. They are bigger club than Palace, 30,000 sell out every week. With the American owners wanting to improve the infrastructure and increase the capacity and continuing to invest in the playing squad. At palace its a rebuild job

They are right, McKenna needs to prove himself for another season or two. Ipswich will finish top 6 without a doubt - currently 15 points clear of the 7th placed team (with a game in hand over most). The squad has been improved and important players are coming back from injury and international obligations. We've also played most matches against the teams above us (1 more match against Southampton, at home, is all we have against top 5 teams - so, Ipswich have the easiest run in of all the top 6 teams). It'll be tough, but could still snatch the second spot . Leeds have a tough run in (including Southampton last game of the season); Southampton have the hardest run in of all.

Here in Suffolk Kieran McKenna's success with Ipswich - the Big Club in a huge area - has had a galvanic effect of a once-dormant side. His pedigree from Manchester United and even before does at least in part offset the relatively short experience as a top line coach. There's no doubt, with his aura generated from his general approach, tactical acumen and public aplomb shows enormous potential. He should be at the very top some day, but perhaps not yet? Football talk is notoriously loose and forgetful, there was even speculation on taking over from Ten Hag when things were looking grim over there. He knows his mind, not to panic and stick to a course - keep his head when all around him are perhaps losing theirs.

Middlesbrough fan here and mckenna definitely has done more than Carrick, he’s had a full season more and got a promotion under his belt. I love Carrick but Mckenna is definitely ahead of him in terms of proof of concept.

I think he's a very good manager but he needs to finish what he has started with Ipswich. Let's not do the usual thing and let the guy prove himself an achiever where he is.

If Kieran continues to be successful and goes to a Premier League club it will probably be Man U where he has worked as a coach and has contacts. Man U will be watching him closely.

I index that McKenna would do a good job there. I also index that Glasner may be a better fit. But in general, I index that I don't know what will happen.

He'd be better of staying at Ipswich They will get to play offs but not be able to get over the line, he should stay there and try again build on what he has done. We have seen to many mangers ruin there reputation becuase they go to the premier to soon, palace wont be more than a relegation battle squad regardless so what really is the point

It would have been more of a risk for McKenna than Palace. You'd expect that in the next 3 years, Ipswich will finish above Palace in the league and Palace is not a patient club.

I think he has more sense than you give him credit for, he would be mad to manage palace its his project at Ipswich so why leave they are the future good luck to palace always liked them.

Thought they both were. Think Palace would be a bad choice because he'd need time to build something, but during the building process they might get relegated, he'll get sacked and his reputation ruined. However, Danny Murphy is right, maybe Ipswich hit a massive injury crisis and the season peters out. Does another Prem club come knocking?

If ten Haag doesn't do it in 4 years for me .....I still like him .....then I'd take McKenna at man utd😊

Anyone who has listened to McKenna talk for literally 30 seconds knows a Graham Jones comparison is way way off mark.

No matter who they hire, they’ll still be a mid table club.

If he gets Ipswich promoted, which is increasingly likely, he'll have suitors falling at his feet. He should wait.

Most of us from Ipswich are expecting him to be linked to pretty much any prem job going other than the big 6. Just enjoying the football we are playing after years of dross.

He'll be back at Utd in 2 years....

Why would Mkenna go to crystal palace 😂 they'll be relegated with average players in the next 2 years then they'll be like stoke and the rest. With Ipswich however we got a built team with progression to the prem perfect project and backing he got here. Palace would be a waste for Mkenna. After Ipswich he's going to Man U or England national team

People are always saying ‘do your time in lower leagues and work your way up’ well he has. Hes also got premier league experience from working with ole at the biggest club in england, a circus. It doesnt get more crazy than united Deserves a chance, plus the competition is so high in the champ this year i dont see it as a failure if he doesn’t take them up
