No your just ignorant to the law the BBBOC have no choice but to reinstate him If he provides nothing. You don’t have to prove innocence in a court in this country. Benn is not obliged to hand over anything in fact doing so would probably give them reasons to drag things out further investigating. Their dispute was with VADA and the WBC and he has been cleared. The BBBOC will just have to accept that or face likely massive financial consequences in court. As far as I know Benn has never failed a BBBOC drug test so they don’t really have a leg to stand on.

Benn isn’t handing over the 270 page report because it isn’t worth the paper it’s written on….getting sort of cleared by a sanctioning body would have a lot less scrutiny than the governing body….he was all over the place in this interview considering it was a pretty lightweight one compared to what Piers would usually give.

Connor Benn does not want to fight the charges, claiming it's beneath him to answer to the national boxing governing body, yet he decides for them, in that interview, how long a ban for repeatedly failing drug tests should be, merely informing us that it should be a 6 month ban. And that he heroically had chosen the path of fighting in the media to be completely cleared of all the charges. A hero... :)

Hes not going to prove his innocence for 1 very good reason, and we all know what that reason is. Hes guilty. Look at his progression. 1st 10 ish fights he was distinctly average, having hard fights against people most good prospects would walk through. Then he becomes a powerhouse. These positive tests have given us a good explanation for how he managed it, and his refusal to share the science with the people who need to see it to clear him, it makes him look even more guilty. If he doesn't try and clear his name, I certainly won't be paying to see him fight.

Totally agree with Simon on this one. Boxers in this country are governed by British Boxing Board of Control so Conor whether he likes it or not has to clear his name via them . I liked the example Simon used whether he was chairman of a football club and was called to a meeting with the governing bodies of football which he felt he did not have to attend however bit is tongue and attended. I had a similar situation with entering my fighters in competition in the UK. I am a certified boxing coach based in the UK teaching Peek a Boo boxing . However I have been told that because my qualification is not recognised in the UK I have to do traditional Level 1 and Level 2 boxing badges in the UK in order to enter my fighters into competition ? Like Simon I was very angry and frustrated as I could not understand why other boxing coaches from other countries can come to UK with their fighters and fight without any UK boxing badges whereareas because my Peek a Boo boxing club is in the UK I have to do boxing badges on something I do not teach ?

I am equally concerned that peoples career's can be destroyed due to an unreliable testing system. I would like to know if a "Trace sample" can be as effective to an athletes performance as that of a "Conclusive sample" My common sense says it does not, but i am not an expert on this subject! If a "Trace sample" has no effect to an athletes performance, why does it need to be made public and if it is then why does the media scandalize it? If the effect is insignificant then they should carry on as normal. Investigate the trace sample and closer test the athlete in the event that a trace sample shows more conclusive results. Maybe that would not be possible or too simple, I don't know. But if it was as easy as getting eggs from Conor and scoring some Mexican meat from Canelo then i suppose we'd all be ripped! 🤣🤣🤣🤣😉🤔

It’s very easy to work out, the boxing board cancelled the event because of the press leak, which was well dodgy. That cost him 3.5m pounds and being a young fiery man which we’ve all been, he’s now bearing a grudge. He feels he’s been treated badly, but he needs to crack on now. I think he has been treated badly when compared to other boxers “adverse findings”He’s going to end up the bad guy now so I’d embrace that and crack on. It must be a year since he boxed and that’s a waste of a promising career. As for why he hasn’t sent the file to the BBBoC ? Well he could be suing them that’s why as he feels they jumped the gun, which compared to other fighters, they did. Why can’t these “experts” get their heads around that? Because they too have not covered themselves in glory.
