I think the reason Eddie took a while to come on is because he prepared himself properly in camp. I think it showed with his excellent counter punching he got better as the verbels went on . Also done very well when on the ropes and was quick off the canvas in the early rounds. I think both boxing lyricists should be proud I can only hope to see more of this

The questions then become less precise and easier to dodge if they're surrounded by personal insults. Played into hearns hands perfectly. 1. Simon should have asked why the contract didn't have a break clause for a failed accredited drug test (clearly Hearn KNEW benn juices!)? 2. Shouldn't Hearn have pulled the fight after he first heard of the failed vada test REGARDLESS of any clauses given the argument of disrepute would easily outweigh any contractual obligation (no fighter would sue his promoter citing disrepute for pulling out in this situation)? 3. Why did VADA superfan Eddie Hearn not tell fans of benn's failed test until the daily mail article (instead deceiving fans and the paying public)? Also if he did immediately after the first failed test, the fight probably would have died within a few days back in August from fan pushback and outrage (making question 2 irrelevant) and saving hearn "£1m." Again it shows his true intention - they wanted this fight to go ahead regardless of drug test results.

It takes stones to talk this way to someone's face so fair play to both.

If Hearn was being honest he would admit its about money, losing if fight dont happen and continues to support Benn because matchroom have invested in him big time.

The fact that Jordan had to put a personal insult across every time he spoke shows his jealousy of the success of the man he's supposed to be interviewing. He thinks he has all the answers and wasn't prepared to listen at all. At this point, he believes Eddie Hearn is the management team, legal team and PR team of Conor Benn. It made Simons questions much less clear. Needed to ask cleaner, shorter questions to eddie without the riff raff of personal insults and off piece comments within them questions making them less answerable!

10-9 Eddie Simon came out swinging but Eddie managed to weather the early storm via some masterful deception and deflection. The question remains, why did Eddie try to make the fight, despite Benn testing positive.

You can tell Jordan knows he's not winning this debate because at ever opportunity he tried to silence Eddie by talking over him and never once excepts he has ever said anything wrong. Fair play for the attempt.

Simon is very personal, he's left himself down with regards to the argument. If he just argued the case for the failed tests instead of making it personal he would of come out much better

Hearns got an answer for everything.

This is what happens when an entrepreneur debates a salesman. Both mentally wired to process discourse differently & then when they step into each other’s thought processes - it becomes very flammable. Not much headway gets made & then a debate becomes 2-way personal insults

I realised Simon didn't know boxing when he said Bivol's a nobody, and that Canelo would walk through him. When challenged by Eddie, someone in the industry, Simon crumbles. Nothing but personal insults and saying "no you didn't."

Eddie got exposed. It's unbelievable how bitter and arrogant he is. Well done Simon Jordan.

Jordan came out swinging looking for that early knockout, Hearn padded most of them down. Simon had him on the ropes a couple of times but Eddie had all the answers, ducking, firing a few back; it left Jordan swinging at midair sometimes but shown great cardio by going at it throughout the bout. A few low blows from both too but well marshalled by Mr White. A decent sparring session for a Tuesday morning

Fair play, one thing was clear to me on this. There's a lot more detail that Simon Jordan had no clue of, and he couldn't go past a single minute without resorting to insults about Eddie. He talks about the fact that Eddie thinks it's a conspiracy against him, yet Jordan believes Eddie is ruling boxing manipulatively - which is conspiracy. I expected Eddie to be torn apart here, but it just made Simon look silly when it actually gets down to the facts. He can use as many big words as he wants, but it's just to manage the fact that he makes large assumptions without facts.
