Starting business with lots of money from your parents and having an ego, is a bit like winning a boxing fight where you took steroids. You might be successful or win the fight.. but you can't say it wasn't because of the advantage you had. In boxing you get your win stripped. It's irony to me that Eddie is in a business where it's all about making sure the fight starts fair and nobody gets an unfair advantage.

Obviously, great that he’s recovering etc, but overcoming adversity doesn’t give you the right to attack someone. I listened to his podcast with Frank Warren which Simon referenced. It’s a different vibe, tone, not with the same malice. Sorry to say but Eddie is right, Simon has a bee in his bonnet.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching all 49 minutes of Simon and Jim ask Eddie questions and then just talk over the top of him.

Jim- ok, let him finish Eddie- so anyway, the new fellas manager says listen it’s a big fight, he’s never had a fight this big before, he’s nervous.. is there any way we can do the weigh in, sort of, in private.. in a dark room Simon- RIGHT, this is shit Jim- would you just let him finish Eddie- so fight night comes, it’s in Wembley stadium and that’s massive innit, so they get to the ring and the seats are far away from the ring and it’s dark outside and the lights in the stadium are turned down really low for some reason Simon- what a load of shite this is Jim- I want to hear the rest Eddie- so the fights going on, the new lad nobody has heard of is winning, everyone’s kind of shocked thinking who is this fella. THEN the new fella actually knocks Anthony Joshua out Simon- oh you didn’t mention Anthony Joshua was fighting, it must be true Jim- would you shut up! Eddie- so the new fella wins, the crowd is going mental cause they’ve never even heard of this fella before.. SUDDENLY, you know how at these fights they have photographers ringside? Jim- photographers who’s cameras have a really bright flash.. Eddie- yea.. Simon and Jim- hahahaha Eddie- so it all ended when the cameras went off flashing n’ that. The fella started going mental, climbed up on to the rigging where the lights and speakers and all that equipment was, everyone kind of stopped and that’s when they properly looked for the first time Simon- and? Jim cut eddie off as he was about to rinse jordan over his business failures, even though jordan started the personal attacks. The company hearn inherited is probably 100x bigger because of him, he changed world boxing and brought billions into it. Boxers only have to fight once or twice a year now because of hearn, before outside of the top 5 boxers were ripped off left and right. What has Jordan done? Was in the right place at the right time and got very lucky, he was quickly found lacking and went bankrupt.

Hearn and Benn have still not yet clinically proven how that substance ended up in his system. Simon is right in that he hasn’t been ‘cleared’ of wrongdoing, he’s just been allowed to fight on technicalities.

Great watch and nothing better than an on air slagging match, mixed in with some decent banter along with some good debating. I think Simon and Eddie need to get a celebrity boxing match arranged and it would do more PPV sales than some of his fighters could do.
