Both of those shows in Boston were fantastic, I second this.
I've always wanted to switch to bass after playing guitar for 15 years, and you Mr. Simon, are the reason I finally pulled the trigger.
Yes indeed sir...you crushed it on this record and I will agree with littleredguitars2 that it is a pleasure to watch you play. You're all a bunch of musical monsters and I for one can't get enough of Plini in general and this record in particular, which I purchased immediately after hearing the this track. Melodically it's simply captivating. Rhythmically it's mesmerizing and brilliant. I'm fond of saying 'I'm a singer, not a musician'. I'm probably old enough to be your grandfather (55) and my first concert was Leo Kottke literally 40 years ago. I was a big fan of the late, great Michael Hedges, whom I was fortunate to meet on several occasions while he walked (a few inches above) the planet. And like so many of your fans I'm sure, a huge fan of mainstays like Satch, Vai, Zappa, Patrucci, et al. I never play anything over and over and yet...'Handmade Cites' gets nearly daily play. 'Paper Moon' is a must on my mountain bike rides. I discovered Plini because I follow Steve Vai on Facebook. When THAT dude is raving out about your record, you know you've crushed it. That HAD to feel good. I was super bummed I learned about you guys literally a week after you played here in Scottsdale AZ. At a venue less then a mile from where I live. Next time I'm there and bringing peeps. Keep it up. You have a bright future if you keep crankin' out masterworks like this. LOVE and PEACE to you all from AZ. See ya next time through!
That bass effect in almost any other song would almost never work. But it works beautifully here.

The song. The chops. The tone. Perfect!!! :')
I can definitively say that the bass solo is my favorite part of this song.
you got by far the best bass sound i've ever heard!!! i just can't stop listening it over and over again
Truly Inspiring🙏🏽💯💎🪐🔎🎸🏆 thanks for arresting my attention for a second …much like meditation 🎼
So awesome. Getting to see you guys live TWICE was such a joy this year. Keep on rockin Simon!
Love this track so much!!!
Wow, wonderful!!!
Wow I didn't realize how much work my man was putting in until i watched this.
Fantastic!
I love how his setup allows him to get the crisp clean sound that you hear in the solo he takes, yet when he really digs in, he gets a very tasteful amount of dirt. Bought a B7K because of this video alone. Such an inspiring player.
That tone is monstrous.
Yess, more of this!
No words! Just Amaaaaazing
Please do more of these playthroughs of Plini songs. It's great to see you play !
Gorgeous playing and produced !
Not only the outstanding playing but also clean and professional video/audio deserves my honest respect. Keep on groovin'!
Damn, this song is just gorgeous.
Flawless playing!
I remember last October in Scottsdale AZ standing on the top level in VIP right next to the sound booth as Animals As Leaders had came on.... looked over and yourself, Troy and Plini were all sitting there right next to us watching the set. Pretty sure Aaron was there as well. Was cool to see you all enjoying the set as much as I did, youre all great guys. Got to see you in Mesa last year the first time you all came to AZ, met you all then as well. Best experiences ever at a live concert witnessing what you all do with your instruments, and look forward to what you all have to bring in the years to come!! Keep up that dedication Simon :D
What a beautiful bass guitar.
Your tone is to die for and you play so incredible clean and on point. But that lighting fast and snappy speed with your right hand gets me every time. My eyes can't follow and even if I slow down the video it becomes a blur. Mesmerizing. Plini really is blessed with so much talent around him.
Thank you for this video
Wicked play through.
Wow man. It's the ultimate video Simon. Please keep on posting more tracks of Plini. I saw you in India and I am awe struck by your style ever since.
THIS IS INSANE
Freaking awesome your style is so fluid and organic love you guys 👍
THIS IS GREAT
Amazing!!
Awesome!
Oh my god, so good! I've really been feeling down and unmotivated today musically and now I can't wait to get home from work tomorrow and get a good few hours of practice in. Thank you so much, this video has honestly made my day.
Man you do this well!! Love your choices of when and what to play. Such a huge part of the total experience. Bravo!✌
Love that tone man.
Splendid work on this track man, I really dig it! Hope to catch you guys live one day

I'm following you guys since last year Budapest boat concert, that was a huge point in my life! You are the best! Keep it up! Love from Hun!
Incredible playing and tone. Sick work on the album. You were awesome live in St. Louis! Hope to see you in this part of the world again soon!

Such clean playing man. Props to you! Loving that desk setup too!
It's perfect, I love how to tune the bass, key piece
Great performance!!!!!!!
So good! Saw you play in Toronto in November. Easily the highlight of my year!
Amazing
I love when bass is as (almost?) present in the mix as the guitar. Like literally why is one more important heheh
Seriously amazed! I saw you at the Sydney leg of the Animals as Leaders tour playing for 'Sick' and Plini, and was blown away! I only just stumbled on to your KZread, but I remember a couple of years ago my old bass tutor showing me videos of you back from AIM, and it was insane. You're gotten so much more relaxed and fluent with your playing since then, I'm just left in awe. Incredible
Dat tone!!!
Awesome
raw bass tone..good sound!
It's so awesome man!
Nice work.
Sooooo tight Lovely playing dude... 😍
Great playing! - Sounds awesome! - Nice Studio too! :) Have a great day! Simon!
Love your tone and your bass lines, how you mix the strong low end with the melody, dude! That changed my world! I definitely want you to mix & mastering our album, I love the powerful and natural sound of the drums :) P.D. Hope to see you someday in Mexico.
That bass interlude solo is a little piece of what dreams are made of. Now I want to see a playthrough of THN's Passionflower cover. Your solo on that one just slays me every time.
