Describing the symptoms is very helpful. It does amaze me how quickly the mice get unphased by a yell, though. It was like two seconds before they were digging again!

I hear them during night but i think its squirrels cause i heard them fighting making a loud squeaking noises and ehen i googled a squirrel fight that's exactly how they sounded

Then you’re dealing with mice/rats. Squirrels only move around during the day. If it is day and night, it is most likely a mice or rat situation.

I think where I’m renting may have both. I heard a loud running that sounded bigger then a mouse around 2 pm. I just heard scurrying now ar 3 am. I’m renting a place in DC for another 7 weeks. I told the owner. The pest control set mice traps inside. It’s not catching anything. Supposedly they said squirrels are coming in and out between walls of this house and next door ( the houses are very close together walls touch. I seen a mouse inside which is why pest control came. I can’t wait to leave. There are always rats running all through the alley. It’s just disgusting

Going threw the same thing as I’m typing this and yes they sound WAY BIGGER and I hear It all day and all afternoon and all night I’ve even missed work due to lack of sleep, their so loud I feel like their bout to jump threw the walls and on me I can’t wait to move

Is it possible to have both Squirrels and Mouse behind walls and ceiling at the same time or no? Wouldn't the Squirrel prey on and attack the mouse or would they just coexist?

You guys came to inspect the animal thats always up in AM managed to chew my vent a good deal in the ceiling of the powder washroom very near the front door garage and beneath the bedroom where I hear the scratching in the morning. He thinks its mice but that chewed vent was amazing. Its plastic and you can see teeth marks. It hangs down because he chewed the area of ceiling that it was sitting on!! They come next week and I pray my 500.00 gets rid of this. I need sleep. And I need to get this squirrel gone..or hopefully not a rat. We've seen nothing, but the inspection SHOWS mice droppings right where the vent is...pray for us....

I hear a high pitch noise

I’m hearing noises in the daytime. Checked the trail cam footage in my attic… it’s mice. Is it normal for them to be active in the day?

Hello 77jamess, great question! While nocturnal animals are more active at night, it's not uncommon for them to be spotted during the day for a number of reasons. Mice are active year round, and may be searching for food or shelter. Drastic changes in temperature, or unseasonable warm weather may also cause them to become active during the daytime.

I've been hearing absurdly loud tapping for 5-6 months now, at this point I'm fed up so bad I'm thinking of just blasting the place with some sort of poison or another. *In my attic.

Yes you can. I own a condo in Ohio and heard things running. I thought it sounded kind of loud. Pest control came and set bate and traps. They caught just one mouse and there was evidence of mice poo . After they came a few times with bate and I placed bate from Home Depot I no longer heard all that noise. Those things can make way more noise then you would think they could
