It’s partially true, however. The first step is inspect and conceal. Pest control technicians don’t spray for rodents, just bugs. After it’s concealed THEN we place snap traps NOT poison(they’ll just die in the walls. After there’s no more activity we use a disinfectant machine to fog your interior and vacuum all droppings. Theirs is to help up sell you as part of an insulation company

In this video you see that guy standing outside, he failed to mention... That corner he’s standing next to, rats can crawl that corner and get onto that metal roof. Make sure your roof don’t have setbacks from all corners of your house. Like you see in this video, I promise you rats are crawling up that bricked corner of that house and getting on top of that sheet metal roof. For a very long time I couldn’t figure out how rats were getting on top of my roof. I had to set cameras up 360 around my house, so I could figure out what they were doing. Now I have L shape metal on the corners of my brick house. No more rats getting on top of my roof. My next door neighbor in my community has a serious rat infestation and doesn’t care. So I had to do a 100% permanent solution, to make sure they don’t damage my home. I would post a picture if I could. But if you’re here watching and you can’t figure out how rats are entering your home. This is probably how. Rats are excellent climbers…

Rodent infestations in your home are a nightmare when the vermin are already established. Anyone who is reading this, get it handled and pay now, or you'll pay a lot more later. When buying any home, old or new, if the inspection comes up with rodents on the list, get a rough quote, double that, and think twice about buying that home.

  • @Davidfam87

And then what happens if pests come back and now all of that money spent is being wasted because mice are once again nesting and peeing in the insulation? I wouldn’t spend this money unless the company had a guaranteed money back if the pests returned. I’d rather fix problem areas from the outside (which a good pest control company will do) and leave the attic insulation, especially if it doesn’t vent into the house (which ours doesn’t) .

Brother why offer fiberglass to customers that have had a rodent problem? The correct way is to add cellulose to the attic because it contains natural borates that repels against rodents and it’s safe for anyone in a household, I can’t belive that your selling that garbage to your customers! fiberglass is not the way to go. For the people that are thinking of hiring this company look elsewhere. A true contractor/company knows that fiberglass is not the solution for an attic wether they offer warranty.

@@uglyDIY well you need to conduct what is called an exclusion, see what most people don’t know is that you have to either replace or add more on top of existing insulation every 10 years no matter the type of insulation . My guess is that your insulation is over 10 years old in which it deteriorated to the point that it almost looks like dust, and when that happens it will loose its benefits! Most people never ever think of looking in their attics which leaves a lot of unhealthy possibilities…

@@ulisess5732 my house is less than 2 years old. We installed 22 inches of cellulose. Sadly, its also a cathedral attic truss, and the damaged spot is at the opposite end of the attic hatch location, I will damage more insulation from stepping on it to go check the spot that mice damaged.
