me too 😭 i figured there was rats (or according to this vid probably actually squirrels) since i hear the scurrying of their ft but tonight (1st time) it’s 2am and i just hear THIS it’s def another animal like it’s just loud thumpy slow it sounds like a human being but ik better 😭⁉️

No it didn't answer my question I need to hear the noises of the creature to confirm its the same noise I am hearing in my attick I can't explain the noise its not a noise mice make or squirrels if anything maybe a mix between mice squirrels and bats at the same time lol all huddled up into 1 corner in my ceiling

This was a great video! I started hearing a scratching, thumping kind of noises coming from the wall a couple days ago. It sounds loud to me but I think that's because it usually happens in dead silence. It does stop when I hit the wall but quickly resumes after a minute or two. It would seem that I have a sleep terrorizing mouse.

It's all the sounds you just explained combined!!! I haven't slept for 3 days! I might go crazy already! Please just someone help me out

I had to call a wildlife service. Reg exterminators don't do raccoons, squirrels, etc.

Wonderful!!! I think we have Bats in wall. Hear at night and right before Sun comes up.....Guess they heard me say I was going to build a bat house, and I did not get it done quick enough so they built their own under the planks of our wood siding

The way you described it is perfect. It's only in the morning. I hit the wall, or slam the cabinet door and it stops for about a minuted.

I put a mouse trap with a little peanut butter at the opening and it solved my problem. It was a roof rat.

I think I have an entire zoo in my attic

I had a bat flying around my room 6 weeks ago. A professional removed it. Now (Just today.) I hear a high pitched screeching noise during the day in my bedroom walls or attic. It's really creeping me out. I hope there's not a Bat nest living in there or any other animals. I'm nervous to sleep in my room.

Just had an exterminator tromping around the attic at my work trying to determine if it’s bats or mice. I think I’m already more experienced after this video, thanks. Too bad he didn’t look the same though....

I have both squirrels and rats! The squirrels sound like they are wrestling, and bowling with the pecans from our yard in the attic. I hear the scratching on the other side of the attic and in the walls, when I tap the wall it stops. Yep! Just as I thought two different critters. Thanks for the information.

Hiii I think I have the same thing as you and I'm curious what you did for that? Because there's lots of squirrals around my house I see them running around every single day

I'm not sure what's in our ceiling. I genuinely thought it was the dog (a very small dog is what we have) running around upstairs the first time. It will run around every so often at around 9-12 am. No idea what it is. But it sounds like a dog trotting across the ceiling.

I started hearing a loud racket in my wall right around lunch time. It sounded similar to the "house settling" noises. I checked the wind speed today to see if maybe it could be the wind affecting something outside, but it's not even windy today. One thing that makes me nervous is that I banged on the wall really hard, and it seems to have stopped. I also researched the temps due to "popping" sounds that can be caused by expansion of home materials, and it's been about 30 at night and close to 60 during the day. Right now it's 50 degrees. I'm not sure if that would be a possibility in this case.

I've heard no movement sounds, no thudding or scampering, just very loud scratching and gnawing consistently at 6-8 in the morning and 8-11 at night. Louder than house mice, and whatever it is it does not care at all if you yell and bang on the walls or ceiling. Occasionally hear some really weird sort of cooing noises that make me absolutely think it couldn't be a rodent. Can't decide what it could be.

There’s something in my ceiling only around 6 and 5 am. I can hear it scratching a scurrying.

These comments scaring me no cap 😭 lmaooo. I’m getting raccoon vibes based on the sounds in my attic and everyone is saying they couldn’t get rid of them. I’ll be going up there tomorrow to inspect. If they don’t go away I guess ima be living with some raccoon goons.

Well I definitely have mice chewing in a wall. It’s 3am and I knocked on the wall and it stopped chewing for about a minute then continued on chewing. I’m gonna cut a small hole and drop in a few mouse poison cakes and see if he wants a midnight snack!!

What about loud chewing or nawing sound and scratching sound? Happens a lot at night. I never hear it in the day. I don’t have an attic. I have an open truss vaulted ceiling.

what about just a straight up constant sound? It's like rain drops falling faintly, but it's all day and all night, and it's not raining. If I bang on the wall/ceiling (it's a slanted ceiling), nothing stops or changes. Could be electrical or something??

What I hear every once in a while are little squeaks in my attic. I live in Minnesota and I heard them once in December 2019 and again around October 2020. I also could hear scampering noises but I never heard any scratches. Every once in a while I’d hear a loud scamper noise that’s followed by a squeal or hissing Update November 2021 - the noises are back lmao 🤦‍♂️

Thanks for this video! Mine is not that clear cut, though. I hear banging sounds and scurrying around starting at about 9am up until 2 pm. Then sometimes later on in the early evening as well. So what's that? I'm afraid to go up there!

I have a bat in my ceiling. Saw it flying around outside my home recently too. I don't know how to get it out but I don't think it can get into the living area and I dont think theyre destructive so I guess it will just live there above me.

We just renovated the floor upstairs and had to replace the old board below the carpet with dodgy ply whilst making the transition to a nicer floor so it could have given rodents an opportunity to get in the floor, witch is quite loose so could just be that but it is extremely loud and can hear things falling in the wall.

I'm pretty sure I have a squirrel or a nest of squirrels in my wall that they're getting into from the garage. I hear scratching, scurrying but when I bang on the wall you hear chittering, chattering like squirrels. I have been listening to sound bites of mice vs squirrels and it sounds more like a squirrel. I definitely don't want any wildlife in my walls. :(

I hear tapping on my roof.you can even hear it walking on the roof. I still don't know what the hell is on my roof. It 3 in the morning

Somewhat helpful i guess. I was just hearing a mix of what seems like a squeak or screech in the wall at 1030am. Trying to nap in my son's bed and his bed is right against this wall. I cant really describe the sound but it's disturbing.

Bats can get between your siding and the walls and you will hear them most all night scratching and sqweeking

how about RATS? I hear something running around in my garage attic, 8 PM EST when I'm spraying peppermint oil mixture up there and also only in living-room when I hear something just make a noise in the wall at 5PM EST, there's also a stain on the ceiling - roofer said not rain too. IN FLORIDA, we have opossums too,

We are having a vibrating sound coming from above... it's a low sound that comes and goes and not heard every day. I could say almost sounds like a wood pecker picking on a tree but it's low and hollow sounding! Creeping me out as I just heard it this morning. Any idea what it could be?

Install Evictor Strobe Lights. Within 3 days, Gray Squirrels, Flying Squirrels, Roof Rats, Norway Rats, Possums, Bobcats and Skunks will leave, taking babies with them. Raccoons, tend to pick the Evictor off the hook and relocate, thus, Evictor Strobe chain needs to be screwed to a rafter. Each Evictor Strobe Light has 175,000 Candlepower, strobing twice per second.

None of these described the noises i hear. Like around the same time every morning i hear a noise between the walls, sounds like someone is knocking at the door but inside the walls.

also, opossums. if one dies under you house (or worse in your wall) you will smell it for awhile! flies will gather for a long time... if you bang on the wall where it is and it hisses, that may be an opossum. they like dark places during day being nocturnal so if you hear a slow scamper during the day in your ceiling like in a drop down ceiling space for can lights or in a wall next to the edge of house and the floor if you have pier/beams then maybe opossum. raccoons tend to be in a family group and chatter, bark, growl... sometimes hiss but you'll probably here them chatter and bark as well as scamper away faster... but a mad opossum in a tight space will just hiss and slowly waddle away. I've caught them all! except bats - because they are protected, should be tested for rabies, and texas requires license. opossums, mice, raccoons, squirrels you gotta catch them and relocate quick before they start nesting!!!... then your problem will be much more difficult. try pulling baby squirrels all snuggled together out of 3 inch gap in cross beam. i made a mistake thinking their parents were long gone... they came out of nowhere and wanted to bite my face off. ha! better to catch the parents first. :) Or, try cleaning out raccoon family scat and redoing a lot of your ducts because of raccoon family. O got a call once where the tenant, a 19yr old college student woke up to a raccoon staring at her through her ac vent. ha! I eventually caught the whole family, relocated, and had to do a ton of sheetrock and ac duct work for them to fix it all. Oh and don't get me started on rattlesnakes. baby rattle snakes are vicious and they hide in corners and under stuff in garages...and some don't rattle before striking. not cool

Yeah i think I have a squirrel- I have been hearing noises near my desk area, exactly as described for the squirrel and at first i thought i mouse had gotten into my desk but nothing was there. That was about two weeks ago at like 3 in the morning. and then yesterday morning I hear noises again this time near my bed and I have 4 windows, 2 of which are dormers and I just assumed it was the snow melting and dripping. And then again this morning and there is no longer melting snow and then again at like 7pm I was chatting with my mum in her room which is right below my bedroom (im on the 3rd floor) and we start hearing scratching in the ceiling and at first I thought it was one of my two cats because one was in the room with me and my mum but then the second cat comes charging in and we continued hearing the noise. So now we have a damn squirrel in between my floor and my mums ceiling. First the stinkbugs living rent free and now a squirrel

haven't heard any chewing but i think it might be a mouse because earlier i smacked the wall and it shut up and scratching noise resumed up and to the left and eventually in the ceiling, altho it scampered away when i turned on my overhead light smh

PLEASE ANSWER SOMEONE: so my sound is like a bunch of tapping. tap tap tap. sometimes it's consistent but sometimes it's erratic and it goes taptaptaptap, slows pace/ups pace. It doesn't seem to respond much to be banging on the wall, i have no idea what it is. I feel like I may have heard a scratch or two but it's mostly taps.

We hear ours in the late morning/early afternoon and around dinner time. It just made this loud drill like noise. Woodpecker maybe? Idk but it freaked my husband and myself out.

@@valentinahernandez7291 Yeah, I guess they do. I also heard loud scratching and some pitter patter as well. Almost like footsteps! They broke in through our mesh closing and tore up some of our insulation. It cost us $1200 for pest control. They fixed the mesh and installed some metal up there to prevent them from coming back in and they left two huge traps up in our attic just in case. Never had a problem since!

I hear noises during the day when I get home or just in general. It's only above my room and its loud and annoying

What about possums?

I hear a really really soft squeak, like that toy chicken that kids squeeze and does a funny sound, but just imagine softer and just the end of that sound. Any idea?

The sound I here is a heavy sound and sounds like someone stepped on a squeaky floorboard in my attic. HOWEVER it's always in the same spot. I don't here it anywhere else. I have a ton of stuff up there and don't see any evidence of any disruption. Also it happens all day. Not isolated to night. It sounds more like a creaking water pipe but there is no pipes up in my attic. It's driving me crazy.

Also, nesting birds raising a family in your eaves can sound very much like rats and mice, as they come and go to feed their chicks.

theres this creature that lifts up a flap to get in a and out of a pipe that leads outside. Its very loud... theres squeeky babies i hear now... but its nothing bigger than a fist size, would this be a rat?

That's a 🐍!!! I believe as I have heard the same sound, and one night came home to a brown snake stretched out over 2 chairs on my front veranda and wrapped once around 1 of my chair's closest to my front door and just noticed the snake in my peripheral. Thank God I had a tinny little torch on my keyring to see in the dark as outside light was NOT WORKING!!! \0/..... Now I have loud scratching, knocking, and and saw like sounds!

I heard in one night a seven-knocking noises in the walls all over my grandma's home. It typically happens when I went to sleep. I was sleeping on a hammock one time around full night hours and heard knocking noises in all four corners. I thought it was a raccoon for some reason. But since I live in a entirely different country, Maybe I might've saw a mouse in one holes above my room. So every night, I CAN'T SLEEP?!

I hear chirping but it is a heavy walk around I've seen possums crawl into the attic and definitely many rats and mice but this is different
