Side Mirror Glass Replacement, 2011 GMC Acadia. How I fixed my driver side mirror glass.
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I replace the mirror glass on my 2011 GMC Acadia. My driver side mirror glass was broken and it needed to be replace. The GM Dealership wanted $750 to fix it. I bought the glass from the Dealership for $200 and fixed it myself. It took about 20 minutes including the filming.

Good to see you. Thank goodness for KZread. I look up so many things on here before starting anything I haven't done before. Stay safe my friend.

I look for help on KZread as well! It’s great! And thank you very for the kind words......
Loved the little trick of taking out the bottom 2 clips first to get it to pop off! Thanks

Excellent! I wish I could have gotten that deal. And thank you…..
Do you happen to have the part number you wouldn't mind sharing? I've been trying to find the same mirror for a couple months now. After many amazon returns for the wrong mirror I'm thinking ill never find the correct one. Even the dealership I called was confused on which one was the correct one. All thanks to using the gift of a free carwash from the dealership we bought it from.

The dreaded car wash! I'm sorry I don't have the part number. I watched my video again and the numbers I see on the mirror is OP42805 and P9452485U. I don't know if either one is the part number, but that's the best I can do. I think I gave my VIN to the dealership and they gave me the part number, and I just ordered it from them. I can't remember if they used the VIN or I just told them what the features that were on the mirror. Good luck.....
Thanks

Thank you Sir.....
What does the white clip do? Upper ones are for heat aren't they?

The mirror is heated and is auto dimming. I don't know what does what, but those are the 2 functions.....

@@jster1963 Well, the mirror on there is an aftermarket, so not sure exactly what I should have. Ordered one from Amazon for $37. It looks close, but only has the upper clips, which I assume are for heating.

@@jhargrove1108 My mirror was factory and the one I bought was factory. I just didn’t want to take a chance on an aftermarket part that may or may not work. I didn’t want to do it twice…..
Great seeing you Jester how is retirement treating you

Retirement is the best job I’ve ever had! I’m just in constant “fix” mode right now. I hope to get into “fun” and “hobby” mode soon. And thank you very much.....
I thought you retired, you should be pumping out the vajayo's. Good work BTW

LOL! I did too. But I have been fixing SO many things. As quick as I can fix things, other things break! I’ve been doing a lot of filming, but not as much editing. I hope to get caught up soon. And thank you very much.....
