that would be too simple for today's engineers. It needs to be plastic, have six different proprietary screws and fasteners and break after 2 years.

also make sure you don't pinch the washer solvent hoses when you tighten the cover back down ! you will be wondering why it won't spray later!
Yes don't go by the oil change thing. Air filters depends on a number of things. Like do you live in the city or on a dirt road?

Want to know about why I have trouble with my 09 traverse. It starts but has no power when I step on the gas. Never gose past 2500 rpm. Give it the gas and it bogs down. Help. My wife took it to AutoZone a few weeks ago and they said it had a misfire in number four. But it ran really well till yesterday and it just won’t go over 20 mph

This happened to me on a Toyota Tacoma, so might not be the same thing but for my truck the MAF Sensor was the problem. Swapped it out and running like new again
Wow... That seems like a very complicated design to remove the air filter....

I was thinking the same I've changed many over the course of years and different vehicles in my life and never had to do all that.

Wait until you see how to replace to oil filter. That car is engineered for frustration.

on my RAV4 08 and Civic 12 it takes less than 10 sec to change the filter. no tools needed.
