Thanks for the instructions! I did manage to get the new mirror on without disconnecting anything but the old mirror and popping out the door panel.
Great job!!!I don't think it's necessary to remove all of that to access the mirror wire harness. But I believe he is doing a great job showing us how to remove the panel for future purposes!!!
Awesome video and demonstration. I was able to change my mirror in about 15-20 minutes. Thank you!
Is it really necessary to disconnect all of those wires and the handle cable? Seems like you could get someone to just hold the panel while you change out the mirror.
if Im upgrading from a mirror with no turn signal to a mirror with turn signal, will the necessary wiring be there ready for me to instal light with turn signal?
I was looking to replace just the mirror. NOT the entire mirror assembly.
I would really appreciated if you could also upload a video on how to remove and install the side mirror cap
No need for all the wire unplugging. The mirror nuts are exposed when the door panel pops off. All those un needed steps are a headache . You are welcome.
Perfect instructions 🎉
There is a much faster way of doing this. Instead of taking off the door panel from the bottom, take it off from the top. It comes up really simply, and opens up the top portion. and then you can easily access the connector.
Does a rear view mirror fit from a 2011 to a 2015 chevrolet traverse?
If you got someone to just hold the panel for you, would that remove the need for detaching and reattached all the plug ins and such? Is there enough space to work on the actual mirror without fully detaching the panel? Unscrewing and separating the panel itself doesn't look too difficult, and neither does removing the old mirror and casing and replacing it. It's all the wires and such between the panel and door just to be able to set the panel aside that looks like it's the most labor intensive, and brings on the greatest risk for breaking small plastic pieces. I really don't want to spend 583.00 on replacing my broken mirror and case, but that side panel removal looks so labor intensive.
Well done. Thanks!
I have a 2014 traverse that doesn’t have the turn signal on the mirror. The replacement mirrors I am finding have the turn signal. Will that be an issue do you know?
Thanks for sharing
Would this work on a 2018 traverse or is there something different?
Where are the screws for the passenger door side
Thank you
Does 2009 chevy traverse ltz both mirrors folded in
Just a heads up, the process for removing the passenger side door panel on a 2017 LT is different. I learned it here. kzread.infocj5KyLT0wd8?feature=share
What about the traverse 2018?
